Well, its a pretty vague theory I'm afraid, but at the end of TP we see Zant do his neck breaky thing which appears to kill Ganondorf. But where was Zant doing this from?

The answer: The Great Void. Yes, I just created my own little world. Not as safe and snuggly as the one I'm used to...

Anyway, the GV is a hitherto unknown realm with only two possible ports of entry, the first being through death and the second being through the Four Sword.

This could clear up:
- Ganon's recruitment of Vaati come FSA
- The possibility of Ganon making his way to the Sacred Realm through a breach between the Great Void and the Sacred Realm, after FSA Link trapped him in the Four Sword. (In essence, the seal of the Sages was still in tact come LttP).

Chronology of events:
- FS (Vaati locked in the Four Sword/Great Void)
- TP (Zant and Ganondorf sent to the GV following their demise)
- TP-FSA (Ganondorf and Vaati meet, Ganondorf gains control of Vaati)
- FSA (Vaati defeated, Ganon sent back to the GV)
- FSA-LttP (Ganon discovers a breach between the GV and the SR)

Yeah, Ganon could've gone straight to the SR when he was in the GV the first time but er... Figured toying with Vaati would be more fun. When that failed, he had to dig further to break free and achieve his goal.

It's a long shot and my LttP knowledge is a bit rusty- hence I'm playing through again- but I figured I'd get this idea out in the open for you all to mull over as a certain Timeline Glossary refreshed this theory of mine. It's better than a fourth Triforce piece, right?

Enjoy.

I do not believe that Zant is still alive during that scene, but it is more symbolic to definately confirm Ganondorf is dead. Sort of like a vision to Ganondorf really, since he and Zant shared a bond, so Ganondorf had a vision of Zant severing that bond just before death.

FAN FICTION ALERT

I do not believe that Zant is still alive during that scene, but it is more symbolic to definately[sic] confirm Ganondorf is dead. Sort of like a vision to Ganondorf really, since he and Zant shared a bond, so Ganondorf had a vision of Zant severing that bond just before death.

I agree with ZeldaGamer21, I think it was more symbolic than anything.

Yeah, I figured it would get the Fan Fiction Frown of Doom...

And Zant isn't alive when he does the neck trick, he is merely performing one final action to drag Ganondorf along with him to the er... Great Void.

Damn Four Sword Saga... *mumbles and groans* Tis a long shot, is slightly Ficcy, but alas I'm desperate to work this damn timeline out

hm, I've always seen this the other way around.

Zelda gave her "spirit" to keep Midna alive, and Ganon did pretty much "the same thing".

Zant's neckbreak comes when Ganon dies, one cannot live without the other.

As for Vaati... pfft!

I guess this Great Void place would be a good explanation of how Ganondorf is able to exert such a huge influence on Hyrule even when he is technically... erm... dead. Since this void would be like a retirement home for infamous villains he could always have sent one through a rift into Hyrule (he's not going to risk it) with the mission of opening the void up proper (like Agahnim in AttP)

You could just consider the Palace of the Four Sword in the Pyramid of Power as being the place where Ganon is sealed in FSA. That solves pretty much all your problems. =/

What about the Dark Realm that the dragon form of Onox supposedly comes from?

Then there is Veran, chances are Twinrova recruited her from the same bus shelter in the Dark World where they found Onox.

Yes.. Dark world, Great Void, big-place-where-evil-(genious)-retire-void... It's all the same thing... And Zant is killed by Link stabbing Ganondorf.
Did I miss anything?
