Ohhhhhhhhhh. Now I get why people are going nuts for HD. It is kind of pretty, isn't it?

Wii U definitely needs some actual games to get anyone outside the gaming press properly excited for it. But I can see what they were going for this year. It's more a case of what the system CAN do than what it WILL do. Next year we'll fall to the floor with glee at a host of titles which will be available within the closing months of 2012.

But, hot damn, was it a loud and gorey demonstration of titles the third parties are working on. Is that really what the kids are in to these days? I feel old.

Oh, and I'm over the name issue already. It's not perfect, and it sounds like an ambulance, but it'll catch on eventually.

Skyward Sword

just heard about "the siren world" whatever that is. It looks like another dimension apparantly.  you have to find tears to escape it. there are guardians that protect the tears, they can kill you in one shot because you are unarmed.  It sounds like it might be a central dungeon ala PH and ST.

Also, in mario 3ds there will be a zelda themed level to celebrate the 25 years. nice.

So I was away on a work retreat during E3 and have been spending all my time after work on Echoes. So I pretty much missed everything and have been using this thread (and other sources) to catch up.

Does anyone have more info on Smash Bros. 4? Will it be the same game in two different versions (3DS and Wii U) or two completely different games?

We don't know anything about Smash Bros. 4 besides it being in development for both systems. I think it would make more sense for it to be two separate games that interconnect, but who knows?

That being said, how in the holy fuck can that system spit out Zelda like THAT? Now if I dont get THAT soon, Ill be pissed. I wasnt exactly expecting to be blown away this year but damn.

Honestly, the Zelda segment and Luigi's Mansion 2, plus a Smash Bros confirmation is all that I cared about out of Nintendo's show. Im still debating between the 3DS and Vita in light of the p[ricing points revealed and a game line up for both becoming more clear.

Zelda HD isn't coming until 2013 at the very earliest, probably not until 2014.

Apparantly you will only be able to buy one controller with the Wii U.  This is odd, what happens if you break it or you want to play with freinds in the same room.  Also, if 1:1 Zelda becomes the way of the series are we even going to be using the Wii U controller or will we go back to the Wii motes...
