Very positive review from Kotaku (no score).

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword doesn't have a formula problem. It has a formula solution. Nintendo's new epic is a magnificent construction of great design built within an expected framework that first works within expectations and then confounds them.

What's with all these late negative reviews?  CNN's review is especially laughable:

Skyward Sword CNN "Review"

Quote from: The "Reviewer"
I was also confused about where this game falls in the "Zelda" timeline. Link appears to be slightly older, but he doesn't have any of his traditional garb or weapons. He is a recruit in the knights' program and, in fact, has to earn his familiar hat and clothing. Contrast that with previous games where Link looks like a kid.

Wow...you're an idiot.

It's the one you've all been waiting for. Zero Punctuation reviews Skyward Sword! (EDIT: Red-level spoilers.)

In brief: "Skyward Sword is the worst Zelda game I have ever played."

His treatment of Fi was resoundingly hilarious in my opinion. As was his observation about the clouds and weather on the surface.

However, in response to his claim that Zelda is just the same game over and over again, I present this:

Yahtzee just doesn't understand Nintendo, he should stick to reviewing bland third person shooters.

Finally came back to this game after getting my Diablo 3 fix (need to take a break from that one now).

Just beat the Lanayru Mines (3rd temple), and here is what I will say. This game is great, the controls are not. Yes the graphics are fantastic, temples may be the best ever, the world is amazing though a bit linear at this point, and the story is solid so far. The character development and cinematic feel to the game are the high points but there are two things that are bothering me. First is the controls, I just am not a fan of the motion controls. Seems too force and amazingly frustrating way too often. The only part of motion controls I liked in TTP was for the bow and arror, and shield bashing. Other than that I don't like it.

Next is the game is doing a great job telling the story and the cinematics are by far the best in the series but it is ridiculous this game does not have voice acting. Seriously it's to the point where this is a must, Link doesn't have to talk but everyone else should. Nintendo has enough money and Zelda is a big enough cash cow where they should have great voice acting in it.

That is all for now.
