(the burning the cross thing....I'm totally xenophobic against you terrible colonials)
Nah...love you.
If you're socialists.
I keep getting told I'm a socialist by my conservative acquaintances because I'm not voting for Romney this election. Oh well. You better love me! I really want a steak right now. I would say no to a margarita either. Someone better get on that. I'll make you a sandwich later

I don't know what I am these days. I don't think Obama's a bad president per se, but he doesn't support family values, so I'd never vote for him .

I'm registered as "pissed off."
I'm sick of hearing about "family values." It's just a phrase that means "I'm homophobic and I don't want gays to have rights to marriage benefits."
Would this be a bad time to mention that I went to my first civil union today?

Hey, heres a family, oh look, they have values. Oh they don't match up with yours? Oh so they don't have "family values". Well that's awfully convenient, it's almost as if it's a completely vacuous nebulous term that you use to wrap your bigoted views in a wholesome buzzword. 50 years ago you'd have been saying kennedy etc didn't have family values for getting rid of anti-miscegnation laws and integrating schools.

A week of no activity in the Lounge?! Heresy. So... *bump*
It's hot and miserable and I'm begging for fall.
And my life has been turned upside down (again). My bestie of 8 years and her baby are living in my apartment. I hate having to keep my wine bottles off the coffee table and ensure that all choking hazards are off the floor. And I'm DEFINITELY over being woken up at 9 am when I work nights. I'm definitely not ready to be a parent.

So much for the Lounge.
I'm finally home for a month, meaning that I get to pour hours into Xenoblade and wait around for school to start again. Not that I'm complaining about that last bit. The weather has finally decided to behave as well so that's nice. How's summer for everybody else?
E: Oh and time-delayed Olympics tonight wooooo.

I wish I could have seen the opening ceremonies. Alas, working nights in a hospital doesn't allow for that In other news, I'm moving within the next week. I hate packing my life into boxes and looking at my naked apartment that has served as home for the last two years. Edit: now will be able to watch the Olympics. Sprained ankle and not able to work... and moving will be more fun this way.

Oh, hey, Peter Jackson just announced a third Hobbit movie. Because the world needed another prequel trilogy.
I think I should be able to carve out some time for Olympics-watching tonight. We'll see how it goes.

What? But I thought The Hobbit was finished already, the whole story in 2 movies... seemed reasonable enough.
So what's with another one?
