I saw Drive the other day. Everyone who's even remotely into movies should see this one. It's amazing.
Isn't that that Nicholas Cage movie where he comes back from Hell to save his daughter or something?

Honda's men are no longer Street Fighters. They see this as a Mortal Kombat, and they have the Killer Instinct. If you do not help your friends, this may be their Final Fight. . . Clayfighter.

I'm still mad at my college town's movie theater for not showing Drive. I think it's coming out on DVD in January so I'll see it then.

It looked like shit to me, like all of Cage's movies recently. I saw Drive the other day. Everyone who's even remotely into movies should see this one. It's amazing.
Ryan Gosling is hot, what? I guess he is. But he can act too, which is why I like him. It's a shame most of my friends can't appreciate a good movie with great cinematography, great acting and screenplay, instead of moaning about how 'boring' it was or that there wasn't enough action...I feel like facepalming everytime I try to explain the movie.

Go see those types of movies by yourself. It's not as awkward as you'd imagine.

I don't normally see many movies in the theater anymore. I have myself a nice home theater system that I have setup. With a 55" plasma (1080p 600hz), a 5.1 Boston acoustic surround sound, of course PS3 for Blu Rays, and a really really comfy couch. In my opinion I prefer watching movies from the comfort from home than at a theater. That being said, I do really want to see the new muppets movie.
On a different note, I am extremely and I mean extremely disappointed at Nintendos decision to not release Xenoblade in the states. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite games of all time. Everytime I feel like the games world cannot wow me anymore, I go to the next area and and even more blown away. The huge amounts of exploration and size of the enviroments is amazing, to compare it to anything it takes my favorite parts of FFX (Calm lands), FF XIII (Pulse) and allows for awesome exploration. The battle system is so much fun, the best battle system I have experienced since Tales of Symphonia. The story is really shaping up to be something special too. I can't go on enough about how good this game is, and I will write a full review when I complete the game.
Sorry to go crazy rant in this thread but I am seriously just blown away by this game.

Watching a movie at home can be nice indeed. But it's usually more fun to watch a movie with an even bigger screen and sound. Though the movie theatre experience is different in the US than in the EU. I could understand why most people who live in the US don't go to the theatre as much.

Going to the movies is a better overall cinema experience but there is something about being in the comfort of your own that I prefer. If I want a snack I can get one and not have to drop 10 bucks, if I have to pee I can pause the movie, if the movie sucks I can turn it off without feeling guilty about wasting 8 bucks on a ticket just lost one netflix rental. And of course the best is when you have your significant other or a girl with you, there are things you can do at home that you can attempt at a theater. On an unrelated note, I am already sick of cold weather and short days. I miss summer and being able to do cardio and everything outdoors. Also my new diet plan and workout has been going great. I am 189 lbs the lowers weight I have been in about 2 years, and I have yet to have a drop of alcohol in 6 weeks now. I have honestly never felt better in my life. Well worth the sacrifices.

Going to the movies is a better overall experience Not if your local movie theater has a bedbug infestation.

Yeah I can't imagine that would be an enjoyable experience. A few years ago in my fraternity house we had a scabies outbreak, and let me tell you there is not many things I can imagine that is worse than getting scabies or bedbugs. Seriously wanted to tear my skin off I itched so bad, and we never figured out who brought them into the house since the outbreak spread throughout Greek Hill and no one could pin point it. But they believe that someone picked them up from spring break down in Mexico.
