"We didn't get into PS3 for the first six months of 2007 -- we're into this for the next 10 years and beyond ... A million units one way or another at this point isn't going to worry us."
We've heard the ten year thing before, and it looks as though Sony are happy to ignore the sales figures which suggest their 4-D system of wonder could be doing better. But is it still safe to stand by such a claim? Without a successful system base in the early part of the system's life cycle, developers will be taking their skills elsewhere, and we've seen that already with DMC4 and the like. Reading through the article, developers may well be thinking that already...

What do we all think of this claim? Is it just wishful thinking and the PS4 will be out around the same time Wii v2.0 and the XBox720 start kicking ass (almost certainly five years)? Tretton is known for
making statements which come back to bite him on the arse...
