Every Star Wars fanboy's dream is finallly going to come true this year with "The Force Unleashed". So we get to play the original Trilogy with the open-endedness of KotR, exciting space battles of Rogue Leader and light saber battles with the Wii Remote? e game puts you in the roll of Darth Vader's secret Sith Apprentice and he send s you on missions to kill the last of the Jedi and ultimateley top impiriral offficials and duh, the Emperor himself! Oh... and we all know that won't go over cause the Emperor doesn't get defeated until the sixth movie by Vader himself, duh...

Is it an Xbox360 title or Wii? I saw this game in the GameInformer I just got. Looks pretty sweet.

A Wii version of this specific game probobly wont happen. The wii isn't powerful enough for the physics of the console version.
Besides, I don't think the wii remote really works well as a lightsaber/sword. But maybe that was just because of Zelda not supporting accurate attacks (real life swings correlating with mirrored actions onscreen).
If they did make a wii version they probobly would have to eliminate the spirit of the game (true physics), and make a new version. But I doubt we won't see a wii exclusive star wars in the future, so don't get your hopes down just yet.
Anyways I can't wait to pick this up for my PS3 or 360.....hmmmm.

I love the Wii as well but if I were to get a second console it would be the 360 for sure. It has an established library of sweet games and imo is much better than the PS3. Staw Wars for the Wii would still be sweet.

Anyways I can't wait to pick this up for my PS3 or 360.....hmmmm. There's at least two physics engines that work with Wii, Ageia's PhysX engine and even Havok announced that it will support the platform. I passed upon this during one of my routine check's of the Blogs... The LucasArts site lists ‘Next-Generation platforms, PS2, PSP and DS’ among the systems capable of playing this game. So let’s just break this down. PlayStation3 and XBox 360 are the next-gen systems. While those other platforms will have the game, the mechanics of gameplay will be decidedly different. Krome Studios will be making the PSP/PS2 version, while n-Space will be handling the Nintendo DS version. But what about the Wii?! Well, when they asked a LucasArts rep about that, the response was, “even if that version does happen, it probably wouldn’t be ‘the lightsaber game’ that gamers have eagerly been awaiting.” http://gonintendo.com/?p=13414I guess the first thing I'd extrapolate is that they've got something else in the works for Wii, involving light saber combat and unlike other developers, they're keeping it under wraps until it's good enough to show. Also, if there's a a PS2 version of the game, one would imagine they could have Krome port said version over to Wii, as most lazy developers have been doing these days, or just port the one for 360/PS3 over to Wii, something that currently hasn't been looked into, and since it hasn't been looked into, I think we should all be hard pressed to speculate on the outcome. Anyway, I bet the game will be ho-hum, call me a naysayer.

This game looks pretty promising. The artwork and graphics are good, and the idea itself is very intuitive. Hopefully more will be revealed on it very soon.
The Tao Of Bill has a point on the watered down aspect of the Wii. The XBOX 360 is the console it was made for. It was made for controller use not motion sensing wiimote. While it could be interesting to swing your mote and swing a lightsaber (hmmm, Tp...) and w/e else you could do with force powers. My question is how would the controls work other then the saber use, how would they incorporate all combos and etc. into the Wii? It would just be very difficult.

Wow, those actually looked very good. I take back what I said about the controls. That shows some promise...maybe Nintendo should take some hints form its customers here and there.

It's not Nintendo's choice, it's LucasArts, and I'll say it again, I think there's a Wii exclusive title in the works, Wii's gaining too much momentum for LucasArts to ignore it, and I think one of the first suggestions would be how cool would a Star Wars game be with the Wii remote?

I meant Lucas Arts, my apologies. How cool would it be? That is the question.

And whatever it is it won't look this good. not another rogue squadren! the franchise has kind of died out, as well as star wars, because the movies are finished there will be no build up to get a game, it's happening to lord of the rings aswell. That's just what I'm finding anyway

It'll probably just be another rogue squadren... And whatever it is it won't look this good. I dont think that its another Rouge Squadron game considering that Factor 5 went to Sony.... And that the third one kinda sucked... I would personally love to see either: A. A new KOTOR game B. A new Battlefront game or C. A handheld Star Wars game that doesent completely suck

I want a new Jedi Knight or KOTOR or BattleField. Though the last two I'd rather have on the 360 and this forces unleashed seems like a next gen Jedi Knight
