Although I would Love a 3D ALTTP Remake, I think Adventure of Link needs to be remade.

Okay, Im not offending the people that love AOL, but I'm thinking the game will go away from Side scrolling and "battles" in a remake. They can recreate the whole game in OOT/TP style. Just imagine getting he skills ala TP and doing them in 3D. Also....the music ofcourse, re-done.

Um this should probably be a pole. But if you want a remake what you get is the game maybe some added sounds but changing stuff around like adding better graphics and items sort of pulls the game away from it's roots so in the end it isn't a remake.

But I would like to see the Oracles re-released.

Still with the remake requests? That makes me sad. There are cries for Zelda to move on. Remaking games of the past may be nice, but it may not be so good for the series.

If there has to be a remake, I'd want it to be a 3D Cel-shaded, Link's Awakening.

I've heard talk of Oracles remakes - in what way?  Like the suggestions for ALttP & LA, =  3-D remakes?  I don't think that'd really work, you know, the whole remake thing.

But I would like games LIKE those games in 3-D.  Especially a game like Oracle of Seasons would be great in a full 3-D environment, with the entire world viewable in the different seasons.

The Ages concept would work pretty well too I think.  With a direct way of travelling to time and changing around stuff.

And that's not all that different from ALttP's Dark World mechanic - you change things in one world that affects the other.  All those ideas are viable for a 3-D game, but I suggest making it into a completely new game, instead of really going for remakes.

I liked seasons but I don't think it'd do anything for me in 3D some of the barriers there are only there becuase they seem like they should only be in a 2D game.

well...i would like to see OOT remade in the style of TP, in a dreamworld, but i doubt that anyone could really encapsulate what made OOT so good and expand the story, world and upgrade it to that technological status.

same with MM

i would like to see a remake of ALttp in 3D, with liberties taken with the story and gameplay...some more NPC interaction and siodquests as well...

but really i want zelda to get the essence of these games and make something new...

Didn't i make a topic like this awhile back...

Well, the forum went through many a change since then, so I know its long gone.

Anyway, a remake of the first one. Lots of games remake the first in the series, why be any different here?

Thing is, in theory we have the fans for this. There was the OoT 2D project (whether real, fake alive or terminated) and there was that OoT Editor that was out to recreate the original LoZ with OoT graphics.

Why should Nintendo waste valuable man power on things which the fans could easily fix up if they're that desperate?

I know people are going to give me a WTF, but Miyamoto said a while ago he'd consider making Wii version of GCN games. I'd kinda like to see WW remade and obviously sold cheaper. WW could've been a masterpiece if it hadn't been for rushing and a few poor design choices. If they could fix the sailing like they have done in PH, add in a few more dungeons and islands(fairly obvious that greatfish isle at one point was going to be a dungeon location), offer a second difficulty option,  add in a little more story or details for hardcore fans, give it the wii bump(better graphics, 480p, higher frame rate, wii controls), any other additional content and I'd buy the game again on Wii.

So would I. So would we all.
We all protest about remakes, but when push comes to shove, I'm willing to bet most of us couldn't resist.

The game I would like to see remade is Link's Awakening. Updated for VC consumption.
It - along with the Oracles - is the only Zelda game not available on a current Nintendo console/handheld, and remains one of the strongest Zelda's ever made.

I'm not at all against remakes. I'm against remakes getting in the way of development of completely new Zelda games.

What im most scared about in an AOL remake is if they can capture the difficulty of then game. Though most of it comes from the game being 2d, and Links moves werent as fluid, but i think this can be fixed if there was a enemy z-targeting system.
