Guess it would all depend on how you want your online experiences to be. 

I don't know why, but if the game was something other than Halo, I would take the Bells and Whistles edition, because even as an ornament that helmet looks strangely impressive.

My dear boy, it is not mooching. I will not just barge in and say "Halo 3,Now!" I will only play the game if I am invited to the person's house. 

On a second note. Some of us aren't rich so we can't own every system out on the market right now. So there is not much else for us to do.

While the game may be good and offer a lot of anticipation and excitement. I will not impose upon your privacy just to play a game, kind sir.

On a more on topic note. I have sadly discovered that the Halo team decided to keep the magnum rather then bringing back the Halo 1 pistol. Also the Assault Rifle will be having a nice little scope attached to it in Halo 3. I am also looking forward to fighting the protectors and using that Q-something shield.

I do believe that they have announced which pistol it is. Search for it and you will see that they have said it would be the Magnum. I will look for the link and post it.

Good.  The Halo: CE pistol was horribly overpowered.  Which was nice in the single player campaign, but given the multiplayer nature of the series, it's probably best to keep things fair.

I've heard quite the opposite.  I don't have the quote off hand, but I believe Bungie has said that their big mistake in Halo: CE was giving the starting weapon a scope, and their big mistake in Halo 2 was making the starting weapon dual-wieldable.  Therefore, the Halo 3 assault rifle should be neither of those.  I seem to remember hearing somewhere that the Assault Rifle would be similar to that in Halo: CE, but more accurate over long distances, and with a smaller clip size.

But then again, I don't place all that much faith in my memory, so I'm probably just subconsciously making this up off the top of my head.

With the MA5C Assault Rifle, the clip-size has been drastically reduced from 60 to 32, and as a trade-off, the weapon's accuracy at long-range has been increased.

Bungie's chief method for instigating this change is giving players a new starting weapon -- the MA5C Assault Rifle. With no zoom and no dual-wieldability, the Assault Rifle becomes (Bungie hopes) the quintessential starting weapon. They don't want players to feel powerless when the round begins (starting with a single SMG and the gimped pre-1.1 patch grenades did just that) and they want them to have a reason to seek out weapons like the Battle Rifle.

It's certainly not the pistol it used to be, but it has its uses.  Namely, being dual-wielded with a plasma pistol.  Good times.

I stand corrected. The Assault Rifle trade-off may work out better then the scope.

Would your Protectors be the shield doors, or the weird bubble-shieldy thing?  Or something completely different?

I think ZM means the Bubble shield thing, which if I remember correctly IS NOT a grenade.

Actually the the protectors are a sort of turret type thing and there is a multi-player level supposedly that is to see how long you can survive against them. The are kind of like droid turrets that shoot lasers/plasma at you.

Man, I am disappointed guys. I had a chance to play in  the MLG Halo tournament in Dallas this July with my Friend Harrison and our Halo Team. (Team Deathly) But, I am gone during the tournament dates due to a summer trip. Everyone else from the team is going to be gone accept for Harrison. He is left for 8v8 FFA Slayer all by himself. It is a downer but if anyone knows of any minor (or major) tournaments going on in the DFW area sometime in May or June please let me know.
