A map I am really looking forward to is playing the new and improved Zanzibar.

Also too all of you who do not know. The map Tombstone for Halo 2 is the exact same map as Hang 'em High on Halo 1. It was just revamped and given a new look.

*yawn*

Old news ZM.

Anyways, the beta goes live in about a week and I'm sure that you'll be on right ZM?

We(or at least I) will be here to give you impressions on the beta.

And some more good news, the beta is also split screen for those of us without a live account.

By the by, has there ever been GoldenEye or Perfect Dark Halo modding?

I'm thinking Temple, Facility, and the crème de la crème: PD's Area 51.  That is one friggin huge playground level.

There is no reason why Halo should be rated T buddy.

Reason A: Extreme blood in the first one.
Example- Keep hitting an alien long enough and blood flies everywhere

Reason B: There is a fair amount of cursing
Example- Johnson saying fuck at least once a level

Reason C: The Flood
Example- Do I really have to explain this one?

Kudos to your mom fo not allowing you to play games that will corrupt your young feevish mind and actually doing her job as a parent in knowing what thesre things are.

See above. The cursing isnt as bad in the first one but it is bad in the 2nd one, to me at least.

In terms of violence the 2nd is probally worse.

And if your Mum doesnt like cursing dont mention that it uses Xbox Live.

*sighs*

I think the message is you can't. Ratings are given to games for a reason, to protect young'uns from having their minds destroyed by things they shouldn't see. It is up to parents to decide whether or not they abide by or break the rules of the ratings, and clearly your mum is going down the "abide by" route.

Unless you learn Jedi Mind Control before you're of the appropriate age for Halo, you're stuck.

Halo 3's coming out in the US on September 25th and in Europe on September 26th, according to Bungie:

Thought you fans might want to know, I on the other hand await news of a different type...

Try asking your Dad instead.
Always used to work for me... actually my parents didn't care about ratings, but I used to use the technique of asking one, and then the other if the first said no to great effect for other things.

You could try making a deal with her too - if you get As and Bs on your next report card she buys it for you when it comes out on the 25th, or something to a similar effect.

If you already do well at school then you're screwed.

Brawl? I'm waiting for Brawl news now... I'd laugh my arse off if Nintendo had this date planned as well. Maybe Bungie were thinking the same when they saw the site update pending...
