When you press the "Insert Hyperlink" button you can easily add an internet link. So far so good.

The problem is that when you want to attach an internet link to a word or string of words (which is a quite common happening, also in sigs), =http:// is added. This is not necessary, and it is quite bothersome, as it always needs to be deleted for you to just past the link in question. The only thing that should remain is the = sign. So when you attach a link, you basically just have to paste the internet link and that's that.
That would make matters much more user-friendly...

I'm gonna agree on this one. It's not just a case of user friendliness for those who post links, but those of us who click the link only to find someone hasn't deleted the extra "=http://" making the link a dud.

I cannot get this to replicate this issue...

proper use of the URL bbc is and always has been:

Code:
[url=link-goes-here]Link Title[/url]

-or-

Code:
[url]link-goes-here[/url]

Just to add something in this case,

Code:
[url=http://link-goes-here] [img]http://link-for-image-goes-here[/img] [/url].

But the problem is metallica, that they want the http:// that is added when you press the Hyperlink button to be removed.

So in essence, they want it to be like this when you press it:

Code:
[url=][/url]

*presses Hyperlink button*

Code:
[url=http://[/url]

*shows what we'd like to see*

Code:
[url=][/url]

Basically what Witless said. Bit puzzlin as to why it shows up differently for you, but I'm not the tech guy.

The problem lies within the Quick-Reply Box. If you post in the traditional way, the code will come out as usual. When you press it in the Quick-Reply Box, it comes out with the http:// attached.

So basically, just post in the traditional way or don't be so lazy and just type out the code.
