It certainly wasn't innovated as I predicted, but it still seemed interesting. Playing a Russian is gotta have it's perks.

Lame...It's in liberty city again...

Did Liberty City have a statue of liberty? I can't remember.

I'm don't think it's liberty city as it didn't even have Time square as far as I can remember.

Okay I watched it. I gotta say the graphics... rock. If the actual game is close the graphics in the trailer, things are looking pretty good for GTA IV.

Funny how the obviously criminal Russian contrasts with the classy look 'n feel of the city ^^

Endless fun & destruction are afoot.

I liked how they did it last game better actually....a black man simply helped the story better than a white man would have due to the fact that gangs are often seperated by race. And due to the fact that all the family and friends were black...but just because the guy was black didn't mean there wasn't an amazing amount of customability to your character...I hope they do it exactly the same way in this game.
Apples and oranges, Rawr. Not asking that they let you be a nerdy white guy in a black gang, because that would be stupid. They would've had to go with an almost entirely different story for San Andreas. Think back to III and Vice City. Both of those story lines could easily accomodate created characters. Vice City would only need minimal tweaking for the storyline. If any at all. III would have needed none. If they would go with a generic thug doing dirtywork storyline like III, they could easily do it. But instead they're going with a story that revolves around an actual character, and I really just gotta say I don't think I'm interested because of it.

I'd be far more entertained if it were me running around tearing apart the city than if it were some Russian guy.

Honda's men are no longer Street Fighters. They see this as a Mortal Kombat, and they have the Killer Instinct. If you do not help your friends, this may be their Final Fight. . . Clayfighter.

To me GTA is more about the story line then the raw destruction. Though I could see why you would like the latter.

Vice city wasn't really that customizeable. It required an Italian because the story line revolved around an ex italian mobster.

I'm don't think it's liberty city as it didn't even have Time square as far as I can remember.
It's Liberty City alright. They just did a better job parodying it to New York this time around. But the reason I'm so sure it's Liberty City is if you freeze frame it on one of the cars passing the pedestrians you see a police car with "LCPD" written on the side.

Don't get me wrong, the storylines are usually pretty good. I'm not asking that they give crap stories. GTA III was a pretty good story, IMO. And with San Andreas, if you just give it a slight few tweaks, it could be a Four Brothers deal where she was adopting children and such. As it was, that movie really reminded me of San Andreas anyway. Did it work better with it being CJ's real mom and real siblings? Sure. But it could've worked the other way, too.

Vice city wasn't really that customizeable. It required an Italian because the story line revolved around an ex italian mobster.
Hence why I said it needed minimal tweaking.

They also probably would've mentioned the city if it were anything new, AND to go along with the parodying New York part, they won't have two New York parodies in the GTA universe.

Someone's been clever enough to put together a real life version of the trailer using nothing but YouTube clips...

Pretty nice work. They say spoof, but its not so much. Actually, its not remotely spoofy.

Second Trailer coming soon. If anyone wants to turn this into a new topic, knock yourselves out.

No countdown this time. Guessing they learnt from their previous "We made the Internet poop a little" incident.

Here it is. The Internet lives to tell the tale.

What's all this fuss about graphics being so much better this generation? They look like arse to me...

Haha, so the words below your avy read...

... I have to agree though.  People fussing about graphics are either blind or pesky Sony fanboys.  Both of which are not ranked highly in my books. ^^
