No. The PS3 sucks.
*Sighs* And people wonder why I don't like fanboys...As amusing as ignorance can be sometimes...I thought the post was hostile enough to earn a response from me (from my hotel in Florida nonetheless).
You can go buy a 360 and a Wii (if you can find a Wii I mean where the hell did they go?) for the price of a PS3 and a game
Yup, the price of the system is a concern, obviously. But the question wasn't "can a PS3 supplement for Wii60" or "is the PS3 as good as a 600 dollar alternative". Rather, it was simply asking whether the PS3 is worth the money. Games like FFXIII, White Knight Story, FF vs. 13, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, Lair, Warhawk, MGS4, Killzone PS3, Tekken 6, and Heavenly Sword look like good games. I think (based on excellent past experiences with the developers/franchises) that they'll be great games. Whether the games and BluRay make for a 600 dollar machine is entirely upon the individual. But saying "zomg Ps3 sux, wii pwnzors" just seems asanine to me.
Also Uchiha your talk about the cutting prices and taking a hit for the customers is a load of crap
How is it a load of crap? The next time you make a generalization, at least back it up.The companies today are making a conscious effort to make their products affordable to to the masses. If they don't make their prices affordable, their products don't sell. For their products to sell, Sony and Microsoft are taking hits for their customers, in order to make their products appealing in terms of price. I know it's such a
revolutionary concept. It's not like it has been happening for years in the industry.

. In the case of the wii, Nintendo doesn't need to take a hit, because it's already "affordable'. Hopefully, you see the difference.
If the companies don't cater to the consumers, they fail. Look at every high priced console ever produced (including the Ps3). High priced consoles come attached with stagnant and/or nonexistant sales. Most of the console makers didn't take a hit for the consumers. In the case of Sony, they didn't take
enough of a hit. But that doesn't mean they aren't taking a hit for the customer. Again, whether or not Sony has taken enough of a hit is a personal matter.
So again, please tell me how my assertions about Microsoft and Sony (or any other company taking a hit for tat matter) is a load of crap. I'll be interested to see what you have to say.
any respect I had for you died there
Lol? How's that? Because I like Sony/Microsoft on a pro-Nintendo forum? Or because of my previous assertion that's a cold fact? Either way I lost all respect for you as well- Oh wait...I never had any. Needless to say, you've touched a nerve there.
Plus can someone tell me one original RPG coming out for the PS3?
One? Okay. White Knight Story. I win.
Buy a PS2 there is more crappy RPG's on there than you can shake a stick at
LMAO! Ps2 had the greatest library of any system since the SNES. It may have had the most crap RPGS (even this I don't believe though), but that's probobly due to the ENORMOUS library it had. The Ps2 won the RPG race last generation. Most people on this board argue that the GCN's best was ToS...and that was multiplatform!!!With more features on the PS2 version! I'm sorry, but that just sounds like a BS statement you (a nintendo fan no doubt)made to bash Sony. But whatever, maybe you actually enjoyed some GCN RPGs better. Who's to say besides you?
You want innovation and party games get a Wii
Agreed
Now for the 360... Well TPS's are there I.E. GoW and LP
Agreed
^Needless to say, I agree with you on the above statements. However, unlike you (presumedly) I believe Sony will find it's own niche in the future. Already (look at the games mentioned above as well as the countless multiplatforms) the Ps3 has a variety of games from different genres. If the Sixaxis is implemented as something other than a gimmick (i.e. Lair and well...nothing else to date) then the Ps3 can add a touch of innovation to compliment their game variety. That's not to say it will rival the Wiimote's functionality...but it can still be cool.
In the end the two bests systems are Wii and 360 (I'm leaning more towards a 360)
Personal opinion. As a strong PSWii60 advocate, I think that presently 360>>>>>>>>Wii=PS3. In the future I think that it will be pretty equal amongst all the systems. Nintendo and Sony just need to get their AAA titles out as soon as possible. But again, that's just personal opinion. We'll see how things work out in the end (hopefully well for all 3 companies).
and I don't even think a PS3 is worth it even for Blu Ray
I beg to differ. But again, we're delving into the realm of opinions.
I'll go buy a DVD or an HDVD because it is cheaper and can play on my family's laptop which we just hook to our TV.
I don't blame you. That'd be a smarter pruchase based on what's available to you. Although I'm afraid for HDDVD and it's losing battle aainst Bluray (although I don't think either format is that impressive).
Nothing good for a PS3.
I lol'd
