I had to pick Prime because I've only played Prime, Echoes, and Hunters.

Samus on 3-D is pretty sweet, and when I played the 2-D demos, it didn't work for me.

Prime was the best metroid game ever made. its like OoT but Metroid. And i was like "HOLY CRAP" wehn i went into the phazon mines. all sorts of space pirate troopers were attacking, shadow troopers, wave troopers, ice troopers, power troopers, and plasma troopers! Then the elite pirates came out! adn then a shadow drone! adn then....*keeps randomly rambling about metroid*

One 2-D vote, one 3-D vote.

For 2-D, it has to be Fusion. Beautiful game. Still trying to wind my 100% time down to below the 2 hour mark, but it doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon.

For 3-D, it's Prime. I know some people don't approve of the FPS style, but parts of 3-D Metroid are great, and I thank this game for bringing a different way to play to us.

... Although a new 2-D game sometime soon is more than welcome.

Wow, Super is underrepresented here! That's the one that gets my vote. Granted, it's the only Metroid game I've played so far, but it still ranks as far and away the best Super NES game I've experienced--even edging Zelda juggernaut A Link to the Past.

If that trend were to hold true for the others, I can't wait to play the other Metroid games!

Yeah, mainly because of the weird L and R aiming, i liked having only one for aiming diagnoly and the other for missles.

Metroid Prime Corruption is the only one i've played so i won't vote (that and it isn't an option).

I thought the game was awesome, the worlds were mysterious and epic, with lots of little things to discover, it was also fairly hard and had a bit of non-linearity, unfortunately it wasn't proper NL, it just allowed you to get so far before you got stuck coz you hadn't completed the first objective, as opposed to completing objectives when you wished.

Hands down, my fav game of all time..

Hmm...  I've not speed ran that game in a while...   Any takers?!

Second would be Prime 1 then either Fusion or Prime 2...  Yes, I loved Prime 2...  I think its probably the hardest Metroid game made so far.    Hard mode.... was awesome..

I love them all, don't make me choose...

(I have a slight bias for Prime 1... it'd probably be my first choice... followed by either Prime 3 or Super Metroid)
