I don't see how. SL is the only one to truly endorse Fusion as the better game.
AoM just doesn't like Bond.
Rew didn't really get into Bond games and went on "Default".
And MM is just going on how awkward he feels in the Best Games Ever thread, which is beyond messed up now.
If the three people mentioned above can construct a half decent argument with proper ground in favour of Fusion, then it can win. But right now, it's a tie. Heck knows how, but it's a tie.

Metroid Fusion's a pretty good game, that said, it's not much more than an evolution of Super Metroid. Goldeneye was a revolutionary console FPS and has been the basis of just about every console FPS including Halo.
I like Fusion, but I don't think there's much of a contest here, Goldeneye is better.

Put me down for those arguments, too! And no, it's not a tie. Until I hear some *convincing* arguments, GoldenEye 007 is and will continue to be 'it' in the realms of FPS's. I like Fusion, but I don't think there's much of a contest here, Goldeneye is better.
I really like the evolution argument. While MF was just an evolution of SM, GoldenEye caused most of the evolutions on the grand scale of all things FPS and beyond. It set a trend like no game in its genre could ever do (again). The only game which comes close to its level of ingenuity and everything GoldenEye stands for is Perfect Dark. But as we all know who's behind that one, the win still goes to RARE and GoldenEye. |

Meh, my response was more in the realm of personal preference. As for which is truly the greater game, well, I don't believe I have enough experience with them to make that decision. However, it does appear that 007 was more revolutionary, whereas MF was more derivative.

Bill I think you'd like Fusion, it had a very in depth story and Samus had dialoge, and since that's all you really care about in your games you should love it :-p
You might also prefer 2D Metroid to 3D Metroid, it's a very different experience.
