How can LA be just a dream when Link sees the windfish flying when hes on the raft?

The obvious conclusion is that it isn't Link's dream, and that as a magical being, the Windfish's dreams became reality.
Link wakes the Windfish, and everybody lives happily ever after.

How can LA be just a dream when Link sees the windfish flying when hes on the raft?
Two options: 1) The Windfish is very real. The Nightmares prevented him from waking up from his dream. A dream in which Link had to defeat the "Nightmares" for the Windfish to wake up and end the spell. 2) It was all a dream. The final shot of the Windfish was just a "mirage". A teaser. |

In the end it's all just meant to play with our minds. And I love that, really.
You could say that the Windfish exists and had an extremely elaborate dream, with Link in it.
Only there must have been something real about those Nightmares, right?
... Or would you say that at the very end Link didn't remember anything of LA simply because... it didn't happen? He had a big black-out from being shipwrecked and there it is, an oversized flying fish, and Link going ZOMG!

well, sadly, when you have the same person doing the artwork for Link and co near the same time, it's bound to look simmilar.
I alwys asumed the winfish's powers caused Link to be pulled into the dream, then when it woke up, so did Link, or it could be more Like Silent Hill 4 where henry is stuck in Another person's dream world/realm.
