Extending the deadline will give us the same result we had before all over again. Deadlines exist to give us order. They're meant to be as sturdy as a brick wall, or else their whole purpose is defeated. If we're going to extend the deadline, why don't we just take away the deadline altogether? That way, everyone could take as long as they like to submit their entries! We may even get everyone on the registry to give something! And on top of all that, we wouldn't have to judge! Awesome!
No. If we extend the deadline, there is no more contest. All controlled variables are removed from the equation, and every scrap of organization vanishes right under our noses. I say we judge the entries we already have, and close the thread once we decide.

If it's more entries you need I have a massive backlog of Zelda stuff I've drawn over the years. Here's the most recent: It was drawn on the 13th of June, so it predates the contest, but I definitely didn't spend more than the specified time limit on it. It's pretty lame that people couldn't find 30 minutes to sit down and draw something in after saying they would. I mourn my loss of a Scanner. - Faceless out.

Well hey, look at it this way. 9 out of the 12 people that entered range from inactive to very inactive.

I say we judge the entries we already have, and close the thread once we decide. Don't be silly, sometimes if people can't meet a deadline it has to be pushed back. In any event, this is the most successful contest we've run here so far so dun get your panties in too much of a bunch.

OMG. Hallelujah!!!
Okay... bad no more entries when I return (sort of) but good because Plasma-taz pushed back the deadline so maybe we could get some more entries.
Faceless... That's some pretty good handy-work there, bud. =)

I have started my piece but didnt have enough time to get it finished, which is my fault. Five days or however far away the new deadline is still not enough time so Ill just withdraw. Sorry.

Thanks, EA.
I like Faceless' pencil work, and the detail he put into the piece. If only he had taken more time to at least pull something a little more together...
ETG tried hard on this, and I'd hate to see him go down without recognition. I can see where he tried to put in detail on both Gannon and Link. I like Gannon's expression, and the shading in ETG's work.
Zechs... I'm afraid this won't do. I do like how you represented every Zelda game overall, but I think something a little more would have worked. Thanks for your entry. *huggles*
Winged Anubis took an idea and ran with it. I liked what he was conveying in this piece; Link is the owner and ruler of the triforce of courage, and always will be. Nothing can stop him, no amount of mountain, darkness, anything. I like his smirk and the field in the background. Good effort!
And finally, zelda0521... I like that he's colored his art, and how he also admitted it wasn't his best piece ever. I like how it looks like Link is carrying the statue (even if it wasn't meant to be that way) and how "noble-esque" (made up word) both Zelda and Gannon look.
Good job and good luck to those who've entered, and thank you for submitting your pieces and at least attempting to the contest!
