just so you guys know...in order to find your wii code check the messages section on your wii menu. Then try to write a message and go to address book. It will display your code at the bottom of the screen. Mine is 7607 0344 6048 7281

I have a Wii, but it's a Christmas gift.  I'll just reserve my spot here.  Is it easy to setup the online, or will I be jumping back and forth between my Wii and computer setting up the IP, DNS, and so on? Also, will I have to input everyone's code for every game I want to play online, or is it a solid 'one time only' thing? One last question: are your friends listed by their code, or by a nickname? |

The answers, in the order that you asked them: It's easy, just like with the DS; it simply searches for the wireless signal and connects to it. I don't know about the second one. the only online game available at the moment is Pokemon Battle Revolution, and it's only in Japan. I'm pretty sure that Nintendo said that it would be one time only, though. They are listed by nickname, with the option to place a Mii beside them in the list. |

So do you need to be on the internet with your Wii for people to visit you or no? I'd guess so, but I've never really seen any clear answers. Anyway, I'll reserve this post for when I stop being lazy and look up my code.

Oh and as far as my previous internet question is concerned, the answer is most definitely "Yes." You can't even register friend codes into your system without at least configuring the internet to your Wii. So I guess you can go ahead and add my friend code, but I can't add you or visit you until either this weekend or Christmas (whenever I decide to get that nifty Nintendo USB internet deal).
