Well, when Twilight Princess released, I was a bit disappointed. I think some of the reasons were as follows. Well for one, they really took long to develop, don't get me wrong I'm happy that they took extra precautions by delaying it, I'm fine with that. It's just that by delaying the game, this has created more hype for me and an infinite number of possibilities. When I actually wrapped my hands against the controller and got into the action, I felt a bit disappointed as I had more expectations. You'd really think the game would be much longer, for what makes out as double the wait and tightly sealed lips.

It was a really great game, but didn't feel as good as did OOT and TWW. I think it was maybe because it wasn't comical, and was more focused on being serious. But I don't think a Zelda game should be focused around that area.

The previous titles were more difficult which I liked, but when compared Twilight Princesses final battle to that of Wind Waker's I think I can safely that WW's battle took me a lot of time to get a grip of than TP's. I also enjoyed both OOT's and TWW's story much better.

Overall it was a great game, but could've been much better if just it was Link, Ganon and Zelda. I'm happy they've gone out and created a sequel for the DS.

Thanks for reading, and remember, everyone is entitled to there own opinions. If you feel differently, please come out with what you have to say in a suitable manner.

You should probably post this in The Great TP Bashing Thread.  There you will find many people who "feel the same way as [you] do" about TP.  This is really a dead-horse issue.  (no offense, of course).

As for my opinion, I think that TP had some really great aspects and some really...er...not so great aspects to it.  For one, I really enjoyed the length, graphics, and even the more serious feel of TP.  On the other hand, it paled in comparison to OoT and WW concerning side quests and such.  My biggest gripe about TP is that it was so linear.  But again, I'm simply repeating what has already been mentioned by numerous people.

Being the expert on rent-a-modding(), I'd say it isn't so much rent-a-modding as a minor explosion of opinion on a subject which really grinds one's gears. And Illuminated does have a point.

If you're just going to throw out one of the many rehashed "hate-points" of TP it isn't really worth a whole new thread. If there was something a little different being put on the table that'd be great, but I'm actually starting to get bored of the TP hate threads too... The Bashing thread should be enough. Right...?

Talk about rent-a-modding.

It wasn't so much rent-a-modding as yelling at someone for yet another TP bashing thread. And when the next person comes around and starts their TP bashing thread (and believe me, I know there will be more) I'll be right there to yell at them in an overexaturated and not-so-professional matter. Because...thats just the kind of guy I am. Actually, things like this from me are very uncommon, but one can only be so Zen and able to hold it in for so long.

Keep this thread on topic. One more post about rent-a-modding, and it's being closed.

BTW, Ninjax is right. ;-)

Not about this:

Clearly talking about TP, but TWW is getting the DS sequel.

well, TWW was not directed by Shiggy, but half way through TP he came in (turning the table) as the metaphor goes and decided he need to do more with it, so maybe it was meant to be worse/better

'either way, the end result wasinteresting but a lil off

Well I thought the game was fine the way it is. And I still think (and I will say this for every TP bashing thread that comes into existence), that most people are still upset over the fact that we didn't get the whole "boo hoo the hero dies all hope is lost and this explains TWW" ending.

And to preempt the "this game signifies the decline of the series" that these things usually end up as, I will simply say: no...no it doesn't.

Yeah... A flood ending would suck more than an empty and shallow one with loose ends. I've covered this a million times before.

King Daphnes Hyrule and his subjects look around their beautiful land as their first drops of rain fall.
"Is this really the best for our land?" asks one.
"I am afraid so," replies the King. "I am afraid so..."

Meanwhile, on one of many hilltops, a lad in green sits alone, looking over to the others, bustling with people. Sad and dejected at his final defeat, he needs a friend. A young girl approaches him. He smiles weakly.

She shouts over to the other islands.
"Hey folks. How's about a toast? To Link! The Hero of Bugger All!"

Congratulations. You have beaten the Legend of Zelda... Too bad that lush land you've spent 75 hours exploring is now being flushed away, huh? See you in 3 years!

(Because if you remember the flood story from TWW, King DNH explained how he chucked all his people up mountains and they were actually prepared... )

Well, if anyone really wants a tragic ending, you can always let Ganon kill you and pretend everything went to hell after that.

I actually prefer the 'Link gets killed right off the start of his quest' idea, maybe a lil into the first dungeon... you know, fall off the ledge or... bludgoned to death by a monkey and his...boomerang

jeez...i didn't want Link to die...i didn't even hear about that stuff till after the game...and i still thought it was pretty bad. i was dissapointed because it didn't live up to OOT and MM...the only Zelda games i had played before that...
BUT,

i disagree with the topic, i thought TP was quite Zany with bizarre abomnations such as Occoo and the Yeti's, i thought OOT was more serious then TP and then MM, whilst being more Zany was more "colourful" then both as i remember OOT's world to be a bit bland, in general design and colour and the different types of characters (when you compare dekus, snowy Gorons the wide sea and all the massivly varying places of MM, OOTs world is fairly similar, but not enough to be bad...)

Ugh, and you know what else we have to look forward to now? I guarantee you anything we're soon going to see a plethora of "Why PH is so much better than TP!" threads. Not that I hold anything against PH, of course, but I'm a bit in danger of derailing the topic right now.
