Fallout 3 Announced

Yes!! The fanboy dream of many has been answered by Bethesda Software, creators of the Elder Scrolls series, to make the next installment of this legendary franchise. Many lost hope when the company broke up and a little hope was regained a few years back when Bethesda bought the franchise. Your life in the game will start at birth inside of Vault 101. There you will choose your appearance. When you hit 19 the game really begins because your father escapes from the Vault. You decide to go after him and your life is forever changed. The trailer released by Bethesda shows a ruined White House and Washington Monument giving hints that it will take place on the east coast. The land scale is about the same size as Oblivion only its an FPSRPG...I think. Weapons degrade with use, you make allies and you make foes. One of the early missions involves you destroying a religious cult in the city of Megaton. This is harder than it soulds you later find out. With al of this info the FALL OF 2008 can't come soon enough.

I can't really decide whether I should get this, some screens or trailers would help me to decide.

Not too sure about this one myself either. It looks like it may have some potential, but still not sure.

It looks promising, but I still need to see some gameplay footage to see what is is like with the interface etc.

There is no Gameplay fotage and considering it comes out in the Fall of 2008 we might see some at E3 or sometime this fall but unlikely to happen before then.

Yes, I agree with tingle. Some gameplay footage is still needed to make an accurate decision.

This should be all kinds of wonderful.  And I never even played the original two...

Bethesda + Elder Scrolls-esque gameplay + post-nuclear fallout + gun = Winnar.

Well, since you put it that way it adds promise to the game...I may just have to check this one out.
