I know there's already a Metroid Prime 3 Corruption thread.
Some of us (of nations other than America) are curious as to what people think of Corruption so far. Please point out any parts which you thought were impressive or lame but please do this in a non-spoiler manner.

Oh yes please! I would like to know if I need to buy it as soon it comes out or just after it is released.

Get it as soon as it comes out. It's really good. I've faced two boss battles, and they were both really good. The map interface takes a little more time to get used to compared to Prime and Echoes, but I'm glad they kept the 3D maps. The grapple lasso doesn't feel gimmicky at all, though some of the "interactions" do. And the grapple beam works pretty much the same as it did in the previous games, which is a good thing. The missile button is a little out of the way, unfortunately.

Is the new way of opening several doors with your hand gimmicky? from the trailers that was one of the things I was wondering about.

I'm just finnished the second boss fight myself last night...it was awesome complete with modernized nastalgic music. Won't say what is is though yet as to not spoil it.
However, they seem to be overdoing it with that whole "pull out lever, turn lever, push in lever" thing. its a neat thing...just don't think I need to do it that often. Grapple beam is awesome.

Huh? I'm not sure what you're talking about. @Illuminated: I agree. I don't mind the ones where you just put your hand on the pad, but the lever ones are a bit too numerous.

Huh? I'm not sure what you're talking about. Could he be referring to flicking the Nunchuk to use the grappling beam? Or maybe the pull the Wiimote and twist thingy? I've kind of forgotten. I've just been reading up on problems that some Wii users are having with the game. Any problems for you guys which could be fixed by the PAL release?

Hmm. I haven't had any problems with that at all. Maybe it's just certain copies?

Wow the game sounds really good so far, I can't wait. I've seen some footage of the new map style and I thought it looked great but it probaly would take some time getting used to. Turning the Nunchuk to open doors sounds alright but only if it doesn't get too overused.
Is it easy to scroll with the gun or is it like Red Steel? I'm more jealous now....

Umm... Well I've only played with Advanced sensitivity and I haven't played Red Steel, but I don't have any problems with it. Actually, the map style isn't all that bad. It just takes more getting used to than any other part of the game. There's a "new" feature in this game from the 2D games... It's actually kind of nifty, but unfortunately it's entirely cinematic. It would have been cool to be able to do it manually.

Hmm. Actually there was one time when the music starting skipping. At least I thought it was skipping. Maybe it wasn't. It fixed itself after five minutes though.

New feature from the 2d games? since this is non spoiler could you pm me what it is? MM, this game is awesome. the only thing that im angry about is one part that is similar to WW's going back to get the triforce peices, but not quite as bad. The opening the door tingy using the Wii remote to pull and twist a handle is kinda lame sometimes but they have more advanced door opening puzzles later on. The game itself is the most cinimatic metroid game ive ever seen though. theres like a cutseen for every 10 rooms. Its not quite as challanging as echoes but more challanging than MP1. But when you lock on to something you can shoot at other things other than the thing that your locked on to. Buy it as soon as you can or preorder it.

Thanks for that SL, I'm defiantly buying it when it comes out For those who have finished the game, is Corruption longer than Prime and Echoes or shorter?

I just finished it. In 14 hours. I can't remember how long Prime and Echoes were, but it seemed around the same length.
Some people won't like the ending though...
