Does any one here play Guild Wars?

I'm planning on purchasing the game and it would be nice to know some people while I play.

yeah, I play it occasionally, it's pretty good, addictive as hell!

I've started up my own guild if you want to join, I'm still trying to pay for the hall though

I actually disbanded my guild now and joined another one, also what kind of game player are you, like charge in and obliterate or stand back and deal the damage?

I've got its bigger, older, better, and more popular brother, World of Warcraft.

My cousin was into it for a while, but he only played it for a few months before making the switch to WoW.

I prefer not to pay a subscription cost to play a game and I just prefer guild wars

I would prefer World of warcraft.
It's just it's so expensive to subscripe to it that I could never convince my parents to buy it.

tingle, what version do you have of Guild Wars?  Or does it matter?

do you mean expansions? if you do, It doesn't really matter if you don't have all of them, the other class guys will appear, but you can't choose them as your own class

yeah, you will, and as a piece of advice, always keep at least one salvage kit and identify kit in your inventory

I have the original. I found it while looking for an MMO to play (being turned off WoW by the poor graphics, universe that is essentially a rip off Warhammer, addictive and repetitive reputation and subscription fee) but my computer being what it is, I can't run it properly.

Thanks for the good laugh, JordAnime.

You left Warcraft for the "poor graphics" and went to Guild Wars? What the hell? That's not even logical. It's like leaving Halo: Combat Evolved for the poor graphics and going to Goldeneye.

Granted, the art style in WoW may be nicer (this is in-game; I think that the concept art for both is superb) but Guild Wars is technically superior and looks pretty nice.

Don't get me wrong, I'm trying to not be (particularly...) biased either way, and I'm sorry if my post made it seem like I was biased towards Guild Wars (I haven't really had a chance to play it much). I'm just not particularly attracted to WoW due to what I said about the grind and my dislike of the world. I can, however see why some may like it and I accept that it is a good game.

Last I checked, character models in Guild Wars are a little misproportioned/awkward looking. Which never works in a more realistic atmosphere like it does/can with cartoons.

That's a minor flaw, and it's ridiculous to say that Guild Wars is less impressive from a technical point of view than WoW is.
