I have updated these forums to SMF 1.1.3, which is soon to be released to the general public.  This upgrade does not feature any new functionality at this time.

That is the explanation of the 3 minutes downtime about 5 minutes ago

Thanks, I guess...

Which reminds me: did you bring back the Member List button at the top of the page?  I casually mentioned it not too long ago and suddenly there it was.

Much obliged!

*pretends plasma actually contributed to the topic at hand instead of posting nonsense no one cares about and treating this forum like an aol chatroom*

*wonders why Tao doesn't see my aol styled comment as a clear request for more information, as just asking would be far too easy*

*thinks Plasma's lost it...*

Update. Minor. No new functionality. Site was down for 3 minutes.

Or was it this?

i removed it originally, i just replaced it, yes.

Where reading HS's previous post reveals the mysterious "it" is the Members List...

*apologises to Bill if he wanted to pwn Plasma a little more*

On topic, I remember you talking of SMF 2.0 a while back, BM. Any further news on that?

I'll try to go about this calmly.

I reserve the right to say what I please, when I please, as long as I don't violate any of the laws that are laid out in the handbook. Everyone here, including EA and even Tao, must agree to this.

Above, in my first post in this thread, I was confused by the message the starter was conveying, and I was inquiring about it. I used asterisks, and spoke in the third person, using the literary device commonly known as "sarcasm." Despite what may have been perceived, the post was on-topic. As far as I can tell, I have broken no rules, here.

As for my second post, I wrote it with a bit of humor. I was attempting to dispel whatever rule-breaking Tao may have thought I has partaking in.

Tao has no right to punish me in any way under the laws. Everyone is telling me I've stepped on some sort of sacred turf in this thread. I'm not worried because there shouldn't be any danger. I have broken no rules, I have done nothing wrong. It would take serious corruption for anything to happen to me because of my actions in this thread. I doubt that this forum, or anyone in authority here, are anywhere near being on that level.

It was just a notification of an upgrade as there were a decent number of people on when i did it initially, i felt it fair to notify/let them know why the forum had gone down momentarily.  This is actually just a bugfix and also contains a security fix for an issue that this server does not have (i have root access to the server this site runs on.) but is, nonetheless, a security issue in a poorly Set up PHP environment.

I try to keep everything up to date

I appreciate the calmness.
