If other countries can work the same hours, and look after their children whilst still having a lower rate of obesity why can't America,
But that is the thing, it is generalizing. I am sure even in THOSE countries there are overweight parents with children.

This is how it is, I hate the "why can't America" you are not saying  "those americans that are overweight" or "some americans" you are simply saying "America" that includes ALL of us.

It pisses me off.

I never claimed that every one in America was overweight, but it is a nation wide issue. I never said those countries didn't have a problem. I said they had a lower rate of obesity. Every country should be working to fix the route of the problem.

That there are people who do work long hours and do have children that aren't obese shows that those two things aren't the cause of the problem. That the problem is worse in America than anywhere else in the world shows that there is something about America that exasperates the problem further. Is it a cultural thing? Do other countries have stricter health regulations? I don't know, but denying the true source of the problem is not healthy.

Does it matter that America doesn't do exactly as you do. Sure, there's obese people, but the ones who aren't obese and actually workfor a living aren't that fat. And what about your work hours, not everyone has the same hours (10), some obese people work crappy jobs with only about 4-5 hours, then someone else takes over. If you want to tell me about my country and you don't live here, then that's kind of odd.

I never said they should. My issue was with the lame excuses people are making on their behalf, whether out of nationalistic pride, or a real belief that those are the causes. I've said at least twice now that other countries have the same problem. All these excuses aren't helping things, they're just justifying these peoples' lack of restraint. America and this thread are just a convenient example.

I've probably made enough posts without asking a question, so here's one:
What are the most popular places within America that Americans go to for their holidays?

read:
Also, if you know fat people here then you'll know that half of them STAY HOME and don't have a job, and make they're mates make money. You know what? most of these people eat fast food for dinner becase they have they're husbands/wives get it on the way home because it's simple and is tasty.
that's pretty much it, if anyone has anything to add, feel free
