This is a rather new issue. Should dihydrogen monoxide be banned?
Before you vote you should be more informed on the matter.
It's a chemical found in resevoirs and lakes. Big companies are using this chemical. Other companies such as styrofoam companies and nuclear companies use it. It's found in most pesticides and now since were washing our fruit with this it's not coming out. This means it ends up in grocery stores, our children's food and things like that. This chemical causes excessive sweating and excessive urination. This chemical is everywhere and we need to ban it's use to protect the enviroment.

It can actually kill you if too much of the stuff gets into your lungs.

I have noticed an increase in my sweat and urine output lately. I thought there was something wrong with me. But I'm a bit sad right now...I just got back from the doctors office today and he told me I have a terminal disease... Apparently I have this condition called "aging". Was told its the number one killer of all species, there is no cure...says I got a good... 50-60 years tops.

When inhaled, it can kill you. When exposed to high temperatures it can scar you for life. While in 1912, a sample of the substance was exposed to exceedingly low temperatures and killed 1,517 people. It was also used in Japanese PoW camps as a tool for torture. Seriously though, I miss the real Lens of Truthing...

I'm for the ban. But the likelihood of it getting passed, in the states, seems far off.
edit - science was always my least favorite subject. lol.

Honda's men are no longer Street Fighters. They see this as a Mortal Kombat, and they have the Killer Instinct. If you do not help your friends, this may be their Final Fight. . . Clayfighter.

Shameless use of wikipedia: Dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO) is a scientific-sounding name for water used in a common hoax that illustrates how ignorance of science can lead to misplaced fears among environmental activists and others.
The hoax involves listing strictly negative effects of water, such as erosion or drowning, attributing them to "dihydrogen monoxide", and then asking individuals to help control the seemingly dangerous substance.
It was apparently created by Eric Lechner, Lars Norpchen and Matthew Kaufman, housemates while attending UC Santa Cruz in 1989, revised by Craig Jackson in 1994, and brought to widespread public attention in 1997 when Nathan Zohner, a 14-year-old student, gathered petitions to ban "DHMO" as the basis of his science project, titled "How Gullible Are We?"
