I. DO. NOT. WANT. HILLARY. CLINTON. IN. OFFICE.
That, and I will *NOT* be governed by a woman. Never ever ever.

Blah de blah-blah-blah.

Oh, Loki, Loki, Loki.  Why must you be...such a douchebag?

Meh to me I never liked being a part of the UN anyway. Why should we be obligated to solve the world's problems? Besides the UN doesn't seem to have much power now-a-days anyway.

How is that being a douche bag? I don't want a female leader. If that were meant to be, we'd have had one by now.

The UN doesn't have much sway these days because our good ol' US of A ignores it.  If we pulled out completetly , it could directly set in motion events that lead to the collapse the UN.

Pfft. We brought it into this world. It's only fitting that we take it out.

The income tax does not help the poor much.
So it does help them, then.

It takes away from their paycheck. I would be more in favor of a national sales tax which taxes people only on how much they consume.
And then people stop consuming as much, especially in the US, and the economy blows up.

How is the majority of the countries in the world coming together "to facilitate cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress and human rights issues" turned into the US being forced to solve everybody else's problems in your mind?  We are a major player in the UN, yes, and we look out chiefly for our own interests there.  If we weren't in it we wouldn't be represented and things would just be worse for us.

Hey you little runts down in the Trendy Game Shop, posting constantly without really saying anything:  I played your game once.   I know what that's like.  I was once your leader.  You know the reason posts don't count in the Trendy Game?  You're looking at him.  Respect your elders.

The UN wouldn't exist in the same form without us anyway.  Remember where the UN is located?  New York City.  You know who has a permanent chair on the UN?  The US.

As does Russia, France, England, and China, as I recall.

Thad being said, we've already said that the UN shouldn't exist (see: John Bolton).  And we've already said a giant "F You" to the UN when we invaded Iraq.  The US is more or less in the UN right now to push its own agenda, and if things doesn't go its way, it does things anyway.

So it does help them, then.
In some cases yes it does help. In other cases it can hurt. The way the income tax is set up makes it very easy for corupt government to screw over a certain class of people tax wise. That could be through raising taxes for the poor or raising them for the rich. Why should any American be penalized or rewarded based on how much they earn? Shouldn't we be free to earn as much as we can without facing such penalties? The so called fair tax which is basically a national sales tax would make it impossible to tax based on weath. It also makes it impossible to cheat your taxes or find loopholes in the system (something that the rich are more likely to be able to do). Instead you would be taxed based on how much resources you consume. That way we know for sure that everyone is paying the same thing at all times. It also makes it impossible for people with illegal professions like drug dealing and prostitution/pimping to avoid paying their taxes.

And then people stop consuming as much, especially in the US, and the economy blows up.
consumtion would neither rise nor drop. Prices on every day items will rise by about 23% but you will also gain that percentage and maybe then some in your paycheck. The point is to streamline the process, spend less on tax branches such as the IRS and not penalize people based on how much they make.
