The Child Link

Okay, this idea has been bugging me for quite sometime now. I never got a chance to play MM so I don't really know where Link ended up at the end of that game, but what I do know is that since he was indeed Hylian and not a Kokiri, he would eventually have grown up right? Right.

SO! The question is, what did he do with his "seven years" that Zelda gave back to him? My theory is, he went on exploring and doing heroic deeds. Indeed he may have gone back to Hyrule at some point and possibly been transported to........Lybranna? Holodrum? Maybe......

That's where I think the oracle series may take place. So, questions? Comments? Counter arguments? Let's hear them people!

thats when the games came out, a lil before MM if i remember correctly...or was it after? i dont remember.

I always kind of put the Oracles there in the back of my mind. I liked the HoT idea in those games, as it's apparent that Link is already a hero by the time he goes on his two essense quests.

Unfortunetly, Zelda and Impa didn't know Link in those games and the Triforce was in three parts, not in Hyrule castle. But to be fair, he does have Epona. ANd on a side-note, I once thought that they came after as well, but not anymore.

I thought Link went back to Hyrule after MM because he made that drawing on the tree stump. he might have done other games, possibly FS, or FSA, or maybe a game that hasn't been released yet. Hope shines eternal for an MM sequel.

Yeah I was thinking that the FS could come after MM too. And you're right about Impa, (plus....Impa gained some weight ne?) but I thought Zelda did know Link in those games? Hmm...I'll start them both them up and see.

I like to think he was stuck in Termina for the rest of his life. Saves worrying about what he was doing during those seven years. And I'm not an optimist.

But you know...a thought just came to me. Zelda sent him back to have his childhood right? Well...if he did other games like FS/FSA or the Oox, (and I've heard theories where he did LoZ/AoL as well) that would mean the he really didn't have his childhood back, because he was still bound by his destiny to get the ToC and defeat Ganon thus protecting Hyrule and yadda yadda. Sounds like Zelda really didn't give him a break after all....

But please don't misunderstand me here. I think the HoT would have to do some other games. It would make sense why he would still be connected to the fate of Hyrule. I mean, I'm sure the goddesses wouldn't just change their minds about him because Zelda wanted to be nice to him. Plus, the irony in this is rich.

Yeah...I'm playing through MM right now as a first play through and it's giving me some hard times....

I don't care if it's MM2, I just Majora to come back because she merely left the mask. That doesn't mean she was destroyed(wishful thinking, I know).

Anyway, yes, MM was one of the best. That's why I do not want a sequel. Let it stay as one of the best. Let it have one of the best stories so far. Don't ruin it.

uhm....okay, I guess I'll take note of that once I get there. Still trying to collect all those damn zora eggs.

But when you say a MM sequel do you want another game featuring the Hero of Time or another game set in Termina? Because I would really hate the later. Termina only needs to be saved once....not, forty different times like the way I feel it's taking me. one three day cycle rut is one three day cycle rut too many.

I love the story, but this is not one of my favorites as far as gameplay goes. Sorry.

HoT cannot be the same Link in these games:

OoX: Impa is totally different than the one in OoT, Zelda doesn't know him.
LoZ/AoL: Again, impa is different, plus alot of other things I won't go into here.
FS/FSA: This one could almost work with the HoT, but it still seems that this Ganondorf is different from the one in OoT.  That and Ganon is said to be an ancient demon reborn.  HoT being the Link in FS/FSA would also cause TMC to be before OoT, if that makes any difference to ya.

OoS+OoA came after LoZ-AoL: the Triforce had a Physical Manafestation in all those games so the gotta be connected
