I'm a great fan of zelda, but one thing has been bothering me... The wii controls. I'm worried about the fairy being annoying, as well as tiring my hands fighting and-or stretching to aim, resulting in sore arms.

What also seems very unnatural to me is having to point at options (Such as "Turn into a wolf", or "Talk to midna"), instead of selecting them with a stick and confirming with the A button

What about the movement? Doesn't it feel strange to move with the stick on the nunchuck while swinging it at the same time to use spin attacks, etc? Please explain! What do you think of these problems?

Everyday i fold to thoughts of you my small witch
You left my world and left me alone in the unknown
I've lost my way without you, i'm getting nowhere
Great gods of the skies above, return my Midna to me.

Trust me after this I could never go back to the old way of playing zelda

Also the fairy is fine

But yes the having to poin at the "Talk to midna" may have been unneccary

The fairy seems pretty lame to me, but i guess i could put it out of my mind. What about selecting the conversation options? Isn't that extremly tedious, and doesn't it just feel wrong?

I could have sworn I was able to talk to Midna by pressing one of the buttons on the D-pad.

EDIT:  You keep referring to these Wiimote features as problems, but they're really not.  The controls really are excellent.

I believe most of them are, the only things i'm really concerned about is the fairy (Which isn't a wiimote function, but a wii function), and the pointing to talk (Seems like it isn't a problem). Not dissing the wiimote, dissing the fairy >.> cause you can't turn it off.

The fairy is about the same size as Navi or Tatl, so if anything it's less annoying than those two because it's also silent and doesn't keep pestering you.

Oh wait, i meant the actual sellecting of the options of when you talk to midna, not initiating the talk to midna. When you press up on the d-pad, you have to select the option by targetting it, which just seems weird to me. Other than that, it seems damn fine.

You can also use the analog stick up or down on the nunchuck if you don't feel like pointing at the option.

Ahh, that's good. Don't get me wrong, i love the pointing option for firing, aiming etc, but it's just that selecting options the old way has kind of grown on me ^^;. Overall i'm happy with the new controls (i played demo), there were only 2 parts that i was concerned for.

Fairy (Didn't realize they weren't much more than navi / tatl)
Selecting (Turns out you can do it the old way too)

You took away my scepticism, thanks! Can't wait until the wii comes out here in eu (8 december)

What about Z targetting, using the shield, and using shield bash?

Nothing special about z targeting...just push z (on the back on the nunchuck.) and shield bashing is cool. Just thrust forward with the nunchuck and it will stun them leaving you open to either jump over top of them and slash your wiimote at their back or jump twice to their side to roll around them and slash your wiimote at their back. Both of these are similar to the query attacks in WW but you have more control over them in this game.
