Why was there ever the need for u in those words?

Have fun.

Anyway, am I the only person who thinks this Mario Kart looking incredibly stupid? Especially the motorcycles...what the hell?

Yes you are! And everybody else that thinks the same sohuld go in a corner and cry!

*goes in a corner and cries*

Yes. I would rather have a original MK64 experience than this. In my opinion, MKDD was not my favorite game, and I played more MK64 on VC than MKDD. It was just more funny. Simple and funny, withouth distracting graphics, and a bit more complecity.
Take the battle course with four levels and a hole in the top floor. That was just simply briliant! And Blocks.... What can I say.. Even the Skyscraper was fun. The only course I didn't like that much was the lava dounut, as there was simply nothing to do there. You drove around in circles hoping you'd meet someone.
The MKDD stages was teh suxage.
I hope they bring blocks back in MK Wii. What is the title anyways? Mario Kart Wii? Mario Kart & Bikes?

hisak's Retro Battle stage wishlist

Block Fort (64)
Double Deck (64)
Luigi's Mansion (DD)
Tilt-a-Kart (DD)
Palm Shore (DS)

And have at least 5 new ones.

The bikes are stupid, adding stunts is a bit gimmicky, the Wheel shell is probably going to be crap, but I may be surprised.

Everything else though should be fine. It's just everything that's new that's a problem I think.

Flue: It's still being labelled as Mario Kart Wii, despite the bikes. Have I mentioned I dislike the bikes?

I just loved Mario Kart for what is was. Mario Kart. Not mario weird buggies and bikes. Not only that, the controls in Mario Kart 64 are far more superior to MKDD.

I think having different styles of Kart is a nice feature, adding to the characters. Although that shot of Waluigi hisak has provided reminds me how silly they can get. I'm sure he had a digger in Mario DS as well...

Meanwhile, someone's been nice enough to state the obvious...

Finally, the Wii Wheel. This was the most disappointing thing, simply because it's absolutely crap.

Rest of his review offered some more points:

3) Several unlockable hidden characters, including *CENSORED* and *CENSORED*. Long time Nintendo fans will be pleasantly surprised.

To quote Fisher-Price: Oh the possibilities.

7) The bikes are a new addition, and for us they were an acquired taste...Players will be forced to use them if they want to compete in the 100cc class, because that’s bikes only.

Booooo! Hissssss!

12) There’s also going to be Mario Kart Channel, where you can see yourself on a global leaderboard for time trials, etc.

Ahoy-hoy. Two thumbs up methinks.

But I like 100cc.....
It's not to slow paced, and the computers are not too strong.. Nice if you just want to have some easy fun.

The only way I'd have a problem with the bikes is if they played differently than the Karts. But it doesn't look like they will.

Which makes you wonder about the point of having bikes in the first place.

Why is the title still Mario Kart if bikes will be used? A bit misleading to those folks who haven't been keeping up with the rumors and such.

Exactly.

All this talk (and anticipation) about Mario Kart makes me want to bring out the N64 and play Mario Kart 64 again.

Has fly-Koopa been confirmed? He's my favorite from DD (yes, I liked that game).
Bikes... No. It's Mario Kart Nintendo. Jumping around was fun in DD (at least in the Jungle coarse), but for it to be the whole game... no. I just hope its better than what they've shown so far.

Koopatropa
I think they keep all the old ones. (Except perhaps Boo and Petey?)

For a variety in visuals.

It's like in MMOs. Why bother having 80 different pieces of armor for the same level? Play Final Fantasy XI, and you'll understand completely.

What? Would you rather they just keep remaking Mario Kart 64 with more levels and characters? That's not going to do well after about two games, you know.

I like the bikes. I think they're cool and I think I'll be using them more than the karts. Because karts are dumb. There. I said it.

Honda's men are no longer Street Fighters. They see this as a Mortal Kombat, and they have the Killer Instinct. If you do not help your friends, this may be their Final Fight. . . Clayfighter.

KoopaTroopa confirmed, see image blow, ParaTroopa not yet.

Two more pages with characters and their own cars... And Waluigi with his damn bike (shouldn't discriminate against him, Yoshi's looking silly on one too):

Baby Peach's car looks terrifying. Looks like Toad is stuck with something similar... Me wants his little Shroom Car.

You shameless non-conformist, Loki.

I never had a problem with bikes being in the game, the more modes of transit the better, like Diddy Kong Racing.

Yeah but Diddy Kong applied them in a way that it was good. This looks really stupid.

FTR, I'm not really against the bikes. It would seem rather pointless if they handle just like the karts. I'm hoping for something new from them but that also works. We'll see. Open minds FTW!
