That article was so in-depth I don't care if it is a theory. He provides so much info and he even backs it up with proof.

yeah but thats like sayingthe story of 'The davinci code' must be true because it is backe dup with proof, when, really, it is a theory and idea backed up by a few things that can be found ihn the game. it's doubtful that this was what Nintendo wanted it to be, but added a gbunch of things in there to make people wonder, thats all.

it is a good theory though.

Don't get me wrong, this was a very well written article and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but lets all remember that it is still just a theory.  There is actually very minimal evidence that any of it is true.  All of the Stone Temple examples were in-depth, but more than likely the author is over analyzing, which leads to educated guessing.

I will say, I really enjoyed his concluding statements, all about Link realizing he had found what he was looking for and he was more than likely returning home to Hyrule.  Really makes me sad that Nintendo cancelled the third Hero of Time installment for the N64 due to the "Nintendo Dolphin" (i.e. GameCube).

Yes there was indeed a third installment planned, but like I said the project was cancelled.  I really enjoy the Hero of Time so it would have been awesome to see where his story went next, and particularly, how his story ended.  Also there was this certain new evil Fierce Deity mask that could have unlimited potential for the series.

Maybe they'll finish it on the Wii.  That would be a great surprise LoZ game, would it not?  Also, Link always loses all his crap when the next game starts.  Why would that be any different between games?  Link wouldn't show up in the next game with all his weapons and such.  I mean, he could, and then encounter something that scatters his weapons everywhere over Hyrule.  They could call it Legend of Zelda: Metroid.  Not to mention there has already been a mask enemy in the trilogy.  They would have to change it up a little.

I would be more than happy to see Nintendo continue the story of the Hero of Time and perhaps clear up a few timeline mysteries while they're at it.  As for the loss of items, maybe Link just has to unload his crap every once in awhile.  I mean, if you had to stash all those weapons behind one shield, I'd bet you'd be leaving stuff behind as well.

I think The Legend of Zelda: Echoes would be an easier name to pull off  .

I'd love to see HOT 3...but...maybe its time to just let OoT go...HoT is the best made link IMO, but if he was in a new Zelda game...i think it would just be another shot at OoT, it would be A glorious comeback attempt, just like TP...and well...i think we have all learnt to let it lie...

Too true.  As far as mysteries go, what ones should they clear up?  I'm sorta drawing a blank, here.

Well mostly timeline related for me.  I'd like some in game confirmation of a split or single time line.  I know a lot of people are convinced after Aonuma's interview, but I'd prefer to see some more definitive proof.  I also won't mind seeing how his story ends, like does he die in battle or does he just retire?

I think Link should return but he comes back something close to 100 years in the future.  Somehow, using the Song of Time, Link has screwed up Hyrule beyond recognition.  Now it's up to him to save the day!...again...

Aonuma's interview and the fact he made two games, both in different timeliness??(is timeliness an actual word?? coz i typed timelines and it underlined it in red and gave me timeliness...now i am very very very confused, as i am 99.9% certain the spellcheck is wrong...but...its spell check? how can it be...my world!)

What he means is that in the third HOT game, someone (sage?) could tell Link " You and Zelda effed up the timeline!" and then proceed to slap him.
Creator quotes are cannon, but until it is in a game, they can always change thier minds.

Wow, that really got me thinking. See, this is why I love Zelda. It's so much more than just a game. I knew Majora's Mask was deep. That's why it's one of my favorites. I just missed a lot of these details that were mentioned in the article. I'm surprised I missed these things because I'm one to get pensive about stuff. Well, that was really a great article. I know it's just a theory, but it's a really good one. Anyway, I had no idea the story of the Hero of Time was supposed to continue after Majora's Mask. I would be very, very happy if they continued the story with the Wii. That's what I was hoping for when I got Twilight Princess, but it was a totally different story.
