I'll be damned if I'm actually any good at the game, but I will firmly maintain that Capt. Olimar is the shit. Maybe it's just because he's a pretty wonky sort of character and not half bad to boot, but probably just because it's funny to watch him and his pikmin beat up someone like Ike or Ganondorf.

While my main in Melee was Fox (I was literally unbeatable and I didn't wavedash to boot  ), with Brawl I don't like Fox as much. I started out playing as Wolf, but the more I played I actually found Toon Link and Link to be more well-suited for my tastes. Link was my 2nd most played character in Melee, and I didn't mind Young Link either, but now I'm actually starting to get pretty good at both of them in Brawl. My liking for them has even started to creep its way into Melee... I'm not nearly as good with Link/Young Link as Fox in Melee, but they're about even for me in Brawl. |

Dude, Fox so had his wings clipped in Brawl. Compared to what he was in Melee, brawl Fox is just a shadow of a ridiculiously well balanced character.
But my two favs would have to be Toon Link and Lucas. I loved in Ness in Melee and though i hate to admit it, Lucas is his better counterpart. Toon Link has speed and power, along with a balance of projectile and physical attacks that make a complete moveset for me. Same with Lucas.
edit: Diddy Kong isn't bad either.

My melee fav was Samus, but I don't like her as much in brawl.
Oh, and Pit, Meta Knight, and Zelda aren't bad, either
As for stages, the coolest one for me is Shadow Moses with the song yell dead cell

Lucario. It used to be Shiek. I was good with her, then I just wasn't. I also sucked at Link for some reason, then I tried Lucario and was pretty good. And I love his final smash.

Agreed, Lucas is a lot better than Ness. My best friend mained Ness in Melee but is now a lot better with Lucas in Brawl. |

I never liked Ness since his first appearance on SSB, I just didn't like him for some reason, of course he was good with some people, but I hated using him when forced to.
