Is majora a chick

Except for the fact that there is evidence leaning to the side of proving that Majora is female. The screams, "whip dancing", and all of those "spoiler" points prove it. I mean, when you hit Majora in the final battle, her screams sound a lot like Komune and Kotake when they argue about each other's age in OoT.  In fact, it's quite possible they must have just ripped that sound byte (or whatever it's called, not very techonologically savy) and inserted it there.

What, just because she grew muscle in the Majora's Wrath stage automatically makes her male? Females have muscle too.

Whatever Majora WAS it's just a spirt in a mask now. Unless nintendo decides to expand upon Majora's back story in a future game we have no canon proof for either side.

You can call Majora "it" if you wish, but I think all the evidence points to Majora being female. Her screams, physical form, even the colors Nintendo gave her. I'm pretty sure I've said this elsewhere (funny enough, in another thread just like this one), but evil men are not bright and colorful.

Besides, it would make sense. After all, most people, (and myself) like to think of Majora as the opposite of the goddesses. Almost like she was their counterpart as Termina was Hyrule's. So why shouldn't she be a woman too?

This does make sense. Quite a bit of sense. So it would also make sense for Majora to be a woman.

Sorrry, I misunderstood. See, since we were talking about evidence within the game itself I assumed that you were saying that there is no evidence inside the actual game to support the theory. In that sense, you would be wrong. But I didn't know you were talking about a comformation from Nintendo, itself, as in the company outside the context of the game; in that sense you would be right. Sorry I misunderstood.

But I don't think Nintendo needs to come out and state a point when they hint at it extrememly well, and knowing how Nintendo opporates, I doubt they'll ever give us an offical declaration. Heck, they may not even know this is a debated subject. It seemed pretty obvious to me when I played Majora's Mask through.

I understand your point Echoes, though, my point of view is that since Majora is some kind of demon in MM, then he is sexless, as a spirit does not have a sex.

Who knows if It was a he or she before being a spirit or maybe It has been always one..

I'm not saying that there isn't ideas and notions to support both genders, I'm just saying that Nintendo hasn't confirmed neither gender, so Majora still remains an "It".

Yes, Cellia was the spirit of Courage, that's a good point, but in reality Cellia is just the representation that It's using the spirit to communicate. It could in theory make a dog representation and still be the same spirit.

That's my point of view at least, strictly speaking a spirit can have a gender-oriented representation but has no sex, as it has no body and for a sex it's needed one (Namely one's sex is defined by chromosomes that are dependent on a body).

So any spirits or ghosts although even if they were humans once, when they become spirit they lose sex.

The OoT sages aren't spirits. More like the spirit of the sages were woken in the current Sages (Saria, Darunia, etc), who clearly have genders. Well, except for Impa. She's always seemed too manly for me.

The OoT sages aren't spirits. More like the spirit of the sages were woken in the current Sages (Saria, Darunia, etc), who clearly have genders. Well, except for Impa. She's always seemed too manly for me.

Do you mean the spirit sages seen in The Mirror Chamber in TP? Those appeared to be images of old men but if you look closely, the symbols on their robes appear to be the same as those of the OoT sages. So it's possible that they're the spirits of the OoT sages.

I don't believe they have a choice. If you think back to OoT (have you actually played this??), it's almost as if the sages already knew what their path is once they were woken as sages. And clearly once they were woken, they ceased to be the person they originally were.

I don't believe they stop being who they were, it's more like a "Revelation", like when they awoke as Sages they realized their destiny and knew it was useless to resist it, so they embraced it, and a catalyst was also that most of them had affection for Link, so they were there to fight with him aswell.

So I kinda see the awakening as a revelation, and they are still themselves but only that they are aware of their destiny and have cool Sage powers

hmm, i took the sages as Avatars of the sage spirits, but, back to the topic at hand.

Majora? what is it? dunno, never said, sounds like a she, but Zora Link sounde dlike adult link through a voice filter, so it doesnt make him adult link with a voice filter in a zora suite. Also, the dancing around could be still guy-ish, look at Vamp from the MGS games? he's bisexual, yes, but still dances like that.

The face looks like theres sexual organs and protrusions that resemble breasts?... um, people might be looking too much at it. i think nintendo just went 'lets make it a face then make a body out of it, that trip people out!

So lest see what we have... voice? not a big posotive. looks? not a big posotive. so, in conclusion.

who cares? it's an it. lol.
