First of all, PS3 sucks. Get over it, Sony fanboys. There are no good games, it freezes every ten minutes, it takes an hour to start up a game, and it just flat out sucks. They also ripped off Nintendo with Sixaxis.

Now, the 360 is actually quite a good system. Xbox Live is a great online service, and you can download cool arcade games on it. But it still freezes quite a bit.

Ah, the Wii. Undeniably the best choice, you can download Classic games from more than one system, The Wiimote is innovative, there are almost nonexistant load times, and best of all, it's by Nintendo, the best game company there is.

Anyone got any counter-points?

*looks at thread, comes to conclusion*

Of course if anyone wants a proper debate about the merits of all three systems – and yes, even I can see good in the PS3 these days (although it's unlikely I'll pay out for one) – then let's go for it.

Side note: I had to let out a chuckle when I read the "There are no good games" line. Just a couple weeks after the release of two of the most hyped video game sequels ever (MGS4 and GTA4)? Yeah, good show. No blind fanboy opinions there. At least when I was trolling about the lack of games on the PS3 I was right.

[failthread]
Each system has its pluses and minuses over each other. I love my PS3. It never freezes on me, the games are great, especially MGS4. I wouldn't ask for any other system. The Wii has higher technology over both systems, they first wanted to call it Revolution for nothing. The 360 is a good system too, but then again it gets its flaws like the RRoD and well, lousy customer service. To each his own Ganny, they are all good consoles. [/failthread]

I'd count MGS4 as the best game out on the market right now. My PS3 has never frozen on me, it's never taken an hour to start up a game and it does not flat out suck. xbox on the other hand...

I agree about the Sixaxis though - can't wait until the wireless DualShock is released.

Dude super ganny are all you threads like this?

But anyway im happy with what I have .............a wii.   I get tired of threads like  this. My poinion is (not that anyone cares) is that there are three systems with their ups and downs.

And i wish people would understand something.

1. For example most of the games on the market arent created by the same company that made the systems. Accept for nintendo. Simply saying that XBOX did not make halo, PS3 did not make GTA4.

2. The games are chosen to be put on the systems with best controls and compatibility.

3. True gamers dont like seeing NOOBS that ONLY play the  halo series and call themselves gamers.

My main point is that this thread is useless.

I wish there was something that was just written that I could quote to describe Ganny...

MGS4 is the most likely candidate for every major gaming website's Game of 2008.

No thread like this ever works. Ever. Which is why they closed NSider (not really, but let's pretend it is).

Now, the PS3 is still ridiculously overpriced and overhyped, but doing things like this won't lower the number of PS3 owners or make you a god. So, stop. Please.

I prefer Wii, simply because it has the most games that I want. PS3 is second because its getting Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and supposedly a new Tales game exclusive. 360, I only want Tales of Vesperia. Otherwise its got nothing for me.

I Love the Wii's motion controls, internet browser, classic game/WiiWare/Channel downloads, and gameplay methods.
I also really like the Xbox 360's recent software update with the old game downloads from the original X-box and whatnot.

Ps3 can go get a life. Graphics don't make games.

The words "manly" and "PC" do not go together at all.

Lol. Btw, my computer(s) don't have enough space to play a bunch of PC games. I've already ffilled em up with Emulators, ROMS, and more important things. I use my computer for a computer and an emu. I use my game consoles for gaming.
Emulators are manly too...

Playing PC games with a 65GB hard drive would be rather difficult, I would imagine. I would need a new computer. And a new mouse.

Right now I'd have to say I prefer the PS3, it's more reliable than the Xbox 360 for a start, and it's got better hardware than the 360 and the Wii, sure the payoff is that it's more expensive. But with the choice of games out for it now (LBP, Red Faction, Killzone 2 and Infamous to name a few) I feel that it is the best choice out there at the moment.

Most of the games out for the Wii are all of those crappy third party games (granted, that's not really Ninty's fault), and most of the 360 games can be bought on the other consoles/PC, a notable example is their "flagship" series: Halo.

Granted, if PC was thrown into the equation, I'd be voting for that without a second vote. Mount & Blade anyone?

No, it's the audience's fault for ignoring the good third-party games when they're released. How many people here bought Little King's Story? How many plan to buy Muramasa and Fragile?

The words "manly" and "PC" do not go together at all.

There's at least one instance where they do.

As for this year old debate, I have no opinion on the PS3, having never played one beyond a demo at Best Buy, and it took so long to load said demo that I walked away.  Not saying that's against the system as a whole, I don't even remember what game it was.

Xbox 360 is the best choice.  It's got a wide variety of games, a great online feature, tons of third party support, etc.  Not to mention achievements, which are fun to collect.

Nintendo needs to step it up.  I was psyched about Mario Kart, Super Mario Galaxy, Brawl, and especially Animal Crossing, and my response after playing all of them (except Mario Kart) was "Meh."  They're all just okay.  Also, Conduit looks badass.

So I've changed my opinion on this. It looks generic and boring. Now Red Steel 2 and Silent Hill, those look badass.
