Final Fantasy coming to Xbox360

Well, the move to 360 kinda pisses me off, but only as a knee-jerk reaction, me being a PS3 owner and all. But  I guess as long as PS3 owners are still getting it, it doesn't really matter in the long run. Besides, one can imagine that Square is much more familiar with PS3 hardware and therefore we can only assume that PS3 owners will be getting a more definitive version.

I believe that the Japanese PS3 version will be launched first, then localised and then ported to Xbox360.

This is the more likely method things will work. Finally fantasy franchise is more affilliated with the Playstation consoles, and therefore, would satisfy these gamers first before having it ported. They have to see if fans, and even casual gamers are in favor of the game first before they port it so they don't waste money on something that wouldnt have needed to be done,.

I doubt they would wait until the game is fully developed and released in Japan before beginning to port it to 360. Porting is a tricky, sometimes lengthy process, and one of the game's producers recently went on record saying that they will be trying their hardest to make the two versions as alike as possible, via advanced compression techniques and multiple discs on 360.

By saying that, they've basically confirmed the PS3 version's status as the definitive version.

I see... well I guess if that's how they wanna roll, then that's that. Though it will needlessly extend the period that American PS3 owners will have to wait to play it, but whatever.
