I never mentioned that this game probably has the best final boss battle in any Mario platformer (2D or 3D) ever. It makes so much more sense than just stopping at the end of a level and throwing objects at a character while avoiding its attacks. More Mario boss fights need to be like that.

It's not a battle, though. It's SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS.

I thought the game started getting good around World 3, it also helps to play it with more than one person, if you can get the right group dynamic going.  It's probably the most fun I've had playing a video game in ages.  The game gets really great around World 6.
I agree with this.

I'll have to take back what I said about the super guide: it was actually pretty convenient when I got annoyed at playing a part over and over...so sometimes I used it because I was so frustrated

I beat GoldenEye Wii and DKCR before most of you, so yeah, playing catch up with this game: cruising through the first world right now.  I'm a little annoyed at the wrong button hints like to activate the POW block with 1 + shake the Wiimote when you're using the Nunchuk.  I just pound down on it with the joystick.  I know you can carry stuff with B, but that doesn't seem to work with the POW block so how do you activate it normally (without pounding it from above) with the Nunchuk?  Okay, I guess you just shake it while holding B, that seems to work.

Finding Star Coins is fun, there ought to be more of them.  Propeller & Ice Mario are kinda fun, it's all good.

The Red Toads are annoying, they should learn not to run into goombas and other critters like a crazy loon.  Just stay put, ya hear?  It's so annoying when they die.

Question: do the Toad houses with the minigame(s) respawn after you've beaten the world it's in?  Or?

I really liked this game. You have so much goodness ahead of you.

Rescuing a Toad makes the Toad houses reappear.

i'm up to the final bowser fight and can't seem to beat him, i'm not sure how to beat the first stage without fireballs, then the times i do get past the first stage i only get so far through the platforming section...

Just run under him when he jumps really high. It's hard to time it right, but it's possible.

Wait, why are you playing this game with the Nunchuk? I didn't think the game even supported it.

Sure it does.  It's in the manual, lol.  You can pull it out and then the game tells you you've changed your controller setup, and you can just continue playing.  I don't like having to hold the wiimote sideways combined with shaking it a lot.  It makes you make more mistakes.

Hmm. Well, I didn't know about that. Not sure how that will work out when some of the later levels require you to tilt the remote.

You just tilt the wiimote. XD

Like with the bar that goes up (left), down (right), or the other way 'round depending on how you hold the Wiimote.  That doesn't change with a nunchuk attached :3

Level 2 - 4 makes me want to cut myself with sharp blades.

The wind blows every 5 seconds, the star coins are a total drag, and I've waisted all my propellor suits.  Even the time limit slaves you.  Let's try to get the last star coin, now...

That's because you're playing with the Nunchuk! It's better without it, I swear.

I played this for a few hours with friends last night. It's still a lot of fun, but the ability to bump into each other really screws with the platforming itself, and I'm glad it was taken out in DKCR.

Yeah, well, this stopped being fun too.  DKCR >>> NSMBWii.  They need to release a new DKCR soon, I'd play that right away.  Getting through NSMBWii isn't as fun as it should be.  A new Galaxy however would always be awesome.  Cater to us, Nintendo!
