HOLY FUCK! Thank you, good sir!

From the looks of things, it seems the Hero of Time is back.

What makes you say Hero of Time? He looks more like TP Link to me. Of course, they said it wouldn't be TP Link, so... And that's the Fairy Queen from TWW right there!

I don't have much to go on, but Link's hairstyle and clothes are very reminiscent of OoT.

Also, I'm digging that metallic-looking logo. Here's hoping they don't come up with some overly-elaborate illustration to tie in with the eventual subtitle-- as they've been doing with every Zelda game since the Oracle series.

Nope, just the plain, old Charleston font will suffice.

Actually, every game since MM. ALttP, LA, and OoT were the only ones to use the "shield and logo" design. I wouldn't mind a return to it, though. It was a nice, simple design.

Now that's much better to see than a shoddy thumbnail sized snap by some shady journo who can't respect Miyamoto's request not to take pictures at the roundtable.

I'm definitely going to side with the "She's the physical representation of the Master Sword" theory that is floating around already. Link's lack of a sword is an obvious sign, but also her design is very MS-esque, particularly with her cloak and the diamonds on her head and chest. She is very TWW Queen of the Fairies-like, but Ninty have been recycling character designs for years. (Perhaps on the OoT > TP side of the timeline, this is actually how she ends up.)

Link himself looks mostly like Twilight Link to me. And he's not as old as many had been interpreting from descriptions online. A couple years more at the most.

I agree, the shade of blue and his eyes resemble the Hero of Time more than Twilight Princess's Link...also Miyamoto said it was NOT Twilight Princess Link, although the armor is identical.

What a minimalist way to tease, an illustration...XD

That is some serious artwork right there. Though I doubt that is the Hero of Time. He wears chainmail, is right-handed and for some reason, his nose looks different. And that woman at his back is almost certainly the Great Fairy Queen from the Wind Waker. Compare:

She does look strangly like the great fairy from TWW but i do think she might be a representation of the sword as her body has a seemingly hilt like look.  Perhaps it is supposed to be a fairy with an adult interpretation(as in Purlu was of Tingle)

I do not think it is OoT link.

I don't know. I think I'm going to reserve my opinion until we get actual information.

As far as being right-handed goes, it's being done because of the incorporation of Wii Motion Plus as they did with Twilight Princess(even though it really didn't matter, since all you did was waggle to swing anyway)

It's really impossible to go into too much at this point, but there is a lot of interesting speculation.

I like this.  A lot.

So they've got their main stuffs planned out already.  May see a new Zelda next year still.  Is pleased!

well if this Personification of the Master Sword theory is true, it certainlly is radically different than what has been going down lately. Which is what we wanted. I hope OoT Link comes back, it would make this game even more epic.

So...if that's the "sword"...what exactly are you supposed to do with "her"?

Throw her at people? Bop monsters over the head with her? Or is it like a transformer where she'll turn into a sword at your convenience?

Anyway...putting all that speculation to the side for one minute, I'd just like to add I will personally come and slap the first person who says "maybe Link will die this time."

That's stupid and annoying, stop saying that. No emo wishful thinking please.

In this game your sword is your helping partner, lol.  In cutscenes and such she may transform into her physical representation to inform you about stuffs.  Maybe you need to save her first, or maybe she's bound by some curse.

Wait.

Hold on.

What if that character isn't the Master Sword, but...

JUST A FUCKING CHARACTER? Do you know how much of a stretch that is to make her into a Master Sword? XD Sure, there are resemblances, but I can make Obama look like Bush if I REALLY wanted to.

I dunno if I really think she is the Master Sword, people are really jumping to conclusions about all this, by the way, the only thing ruled out is that he isn't TWILIGHT PRINCESS Link.  IGN asked if it was Twilight Princess Link or something completely different.  When he said "completely different", it was an ellipsis for "completely different than Twilight Princess", so it doesn't discount this being a sequel to any one of the other games.

I'm just saying that shade of blue in his eyes and the hair color and style is a LOT closer to Hero of Time Link than any other Link.

Yeah, I thought that at first (especially since she looks EXACTLY like the Fairy Queen from TWW), but then I saw...

The shape of her dress (both parts), the positioning of her legs, and the fact that Link isn't holding his sword (something Miyamoto thought was important enough to point out) all point to her being the Master Sword. Hell, that crystal is in the exact same place.
