As I'm sure most members have noticed, most of the forums' activity is concentrated in the Stock Pot Inn and Trendy Game Shop, and we don't have a whole lot of active threads outside of these boards. While this is all good and fine, I'm wondering if we really need as many boards as we have. There's very few active threads in the Wii, DS, and Multiplatform boards, and the Xbox, PS3, SSBB, and General Nintendo boards don't have any active threads at all. I'm proposing that some of these boards be merged to get rid of unnecessary clutter and reduce the chance of new members gravedigging dead topics that still show up on a board's first page.

Here's the merges I had in mind:
General Nintendo, Nintendo Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Nintendo DS would be merged into an all-purpose Nintendo board.
PlayStation3/PSP, Xbox 360, and Multiplatform/Legacy Systems would be merged into a General Gaming board.
The PC board would stay untouched and these three boards would be put into an "Other Gaming" category or something similar.

Anyway, you're of course free to turn down or ignore my suggestions (I'd prefer the former), but I think this makes all too much sense considering the lack of activity in the boards I mentioned.

Just looking there, I had forgotten there was an SSBB board, doesn't make much sense that there is a board for one specific non-zelda game in a zelda forum.

Merge community chatter with the LOT and make a more informal discussion forum.
That or simply make that forum and keep the LOT.

I really want to simply reply with "you're wrong bro" or "lol what?" to an LOT post without being banned.
I say we make it like this forum:
http://forums.somethingawful.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=201
Except with more conservatives.
Because well, while it's funny to read, a forum where every other thread is "AMERICA SUCKS GUYS AMIRITE?", while I agree with almost every post they make, I want to argue with someone.

And that's why I'm here.

A downsize isn't really neccesary at the moment, seeing as we're still adressing these topics as a part of The Hylia. It keeps things tidy and organised. It's just not as active as it used to be. Despite the fact, some people still want to talk about certain games on different platforms, which they can do so on their respective forums.

The Stock Pot Inn is popular because most people like to talk about things non-gaming. When they do want to talk about gaming, they come to the others forums.

I get what you mean though, but it's not really neccesary.

What about my idea of a slightly informal LOT?
