Protip: none of those guys are funny.
Protip: it would also be interesting to see all votes not just the top 3.
Protip: keaton is not liberal, it's a joke vote.

Also stop voting for members who don't post, it's really annoying.

Naruto is an awesome show.  You are not.  And I'm nowhere near conservative enough to win most conservative, especially compared to other people here.

I'm sorry, deku may be more religious, but TW and deku are a lot less conservative than you, at the moment you are the closest thing we have to a right wing nutjob.
Imagine if glenn beck posted here.
Oh my, that would be heaven, the LOT would be so damn fun.
Or do it live!
God we could even have olbermann just for the crazy factor.

Out of the members in that category, possibly, but on the whole, there have been way more conservative members around here.  Problem is most people forgot about the vets that don't come around here anymore, but that doesn't mean we should exclude 'em.

Not to sound ungrateful for the nominations, but I'm dumbfounded by some of the categories I show up in.

1.  Most Conservative
I don't really consider myself "conservative" in the political sense.  While I am strictly conservative theologically, I actually align fairly closely with the progressive movement politically. So, I think I am unqualified for this award - especially given NH's politics, which seem more conservative than mine (not that I think that's bad or anything).

2.  All-round Gaming fan
First of all, I never really understood what this category meant anyway.  I own a Wii, a couple of games (that I never play), and I just recently got an Xbox 360.  Please don't vote me for this award because, frankly, it would be a shame.  I'm sure there are many more well-qualified nominees for this award than myself.

3.  Biggest Zelda fan
Wow.  I enjoy Zelda a ton but I am nowhere near the type of fan that many of you are.  I haven't even played most of the handheld games for crying out loud.  There are other members more deserving of this award.

As far as grammar nazi goes, I do value good grammar and well-constructed sentences, but I don't recall the last time I've called someone out for grammar (at least since 4th Triforce Piece last annoyed us with his idiocy or whatever his name was).  Nevertheless, I don't mind being nominated for this award as much as others.

Again, I'm not trying to be modest or attempting to project a false humility, just trying to be honest.

Blah blah why was I/he/she nominated/not nominated for this.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. You want to be better represented? Yell at those who nominated you. xD

I sort of had that in the noms thread, about voting for people who have at least been semi active the past month. Guess no one took notice. You'd be interested to know that most of those who voted for non-active members are the VETS. *glares*

Yeah?  Well give us names and we will!

There's nothing wrong with voting for innactive vets.  The active community is too small.  I mean look at how people disagree with their own nominations?

And Zim's trying to win the trashtalker award by trashtalking the other nominees.  See how subtle that is?

Hahahahaha, fucking lamewad, you didn't realise my subtle joke about my name also being from a cartoon show.
And for the voting vets things, well the problem is is that some people would ALWAYS win that nomination, and it doesn't leave space for the new members that have replaced them.
It's like if we had a "I can't make my mind up over aaaaaaanything award"
Rawr would win everytime, because one second, he's voting mccain, then ron paul, then hillary, then obama, then thinks God is evil and probably satan, yet Jesus is good, then changing his mind when people dissagree with him.
I mean come on, he was the most wishy washy member ever.
But now we have other indicisive members to choose from!
But he'd still win!, because we're VETS and we play favourites.
which is bad.

Your subtle joke was so obvious that I didn't feel the need to make a note of it.

But members don't "replace" each other.  I mean, even if the people we'd nominate who aren't active still were, there's always the possibility that someone would come along who outdoes them in whatever category we're talking about.  With that in mind, whether or not someone we nominate is still active doesn't really make a difference as to whether or not they deserve an award for something.  It has nothing to do with playing favorites.  Well, not to me at least.  Also, where did all that rawr hate come from O_O

Well, in a way, you sort of proved my point.  There are some vets we never vote for anymore, and some that a few of us do still vote for.  Why?  Because we're not just vets playing favorites by voting for other vets.  Again, speaking only for myself, when I did nominate a retired vet, it was because I still think that were they to come back they would be most deserving of whatever award I nominated them for.

Zim, despite my warnings and a prior ban you've continued to flame members, use vulgar language, an rent-a-mod. I'm banning you for a week this time, as you clearly didn't get the message last time around.

You will respect our rules here. You will respect our members. If you do not, you will be removed. You're not going to parade around this forum in such a vulgar, classless manner.

As for the topic, I got nominated for pretty much everything I expected I would (all around gaming fan, MS fanboy, Sony fanboy). It seems my reputation for being critical of Nintendo is alive and well.

I think we actually did pretty well in this regard.  With the exceptions of Keaton and Jordan (and maybe Fairy Penguin and HyLorian?  I don't really know those guys, so I dunno), I think everyone who got nominated has at least been around in the last month or so.  Maybe not particularly active, but they've at least made some posts.

Personally, I tried to only nominated relatively active members, but that's just me.  I didn't really see the point of nominating someone who wouldn't even notice the fact.

On the other hand, though, the impression I'm getting is that you're more active in the LoT and doin' debate type stuff (and typically being at least more conservative than the rest of us godless-liberal-commies), so even if you aren't the most conservative in terms of ideology, you're at least a more prominent conservative.  I guess.  Maybe.

PS: I thought you had a good shot at that Wisest Member award.  Kinda a shame you got ousted from that.

Yes.

The whole point of PM-ing the noms was to avoid the results being seen by all. Secret ballot and all, you know.

If you just put who was voted and not who voted for which person, it would still be a secret, no?
