People have way different perspectives on the things they were actually a part of. Like David Simon thinks that Buffy is better than The Wire. So.

A salient point.

Just weird that Miyamoto effectively enjoys playing Doki Doki Panic more than any originally Mario-made game in existence.

SMB2 would've been absolutely fine if it wasn't for that bloody frame-by-frame transition. Works fine for adventure games, is a fucking drag for pacier platformers.

Now, can anyone tell me how my kickass Pinsir got beaten by a Caterpie in today's Bug Catching Contest?

@hisak: Yeah, I know. But still, it would be like Tolkien saying his favorite book that he wrote was The Adventures of Tom Bombadil instead of Lord of the Rings or The Silmarillion.

@EA: I actually like SMB2 a lot more than most people (but it's not a favorite). The frame by frame thing didn't bother me, especially since it only happens on the vertical segments (ditto Mega Man)--which is actually pretty helpful if you're ever in freefall!

I would totally buy Tolkien saying that as well.

Replaying old games is good, too. Greevee evolved!

KI? Wooh! Looking forward to reading your thoughts in the thread.

@hisak: Knowing Tolkien's inexplicable love for Bombadil, you're probably not too far off the mark there.
