Not worth starting a new thread. New trailer! Warren Spector reveals further details of the plot as we see more of the game in action. The cutscenes are beautiful. I know it's not the steampunk-heavy game that everyone expected after the original concept art, but I think it's better being more traditional. The cinematics look like they came straight from 1999...

Dang, those graphics look incredible! Not in the polished, realistic way of course. But they LOOK like a Disney cartoon. You see what I'm saying? Hmm, I wonder if the graphics in the cutscene with the black-robed guy are in-engine...

I really think this game looks over blown; a mash up of unconnected ideas. It seems like way too much micro-managing for a 3D platformer, and as a 3D platformer, the camera looks absolutely inferior.

From interviews with Warren Spector, it doesn't sound like he's trying to make this game a pure platforming experience, so said micro-managing might not be a problem (or maybe it will be, we'll see).

I thought I would be disappointed by that.
I was wrong.

I doubt the platforming (the 3D parts, at least) will be up to par with the heights of the Mario Galaxies, but even so I'm thrilled by the visual and storytelling style. In those terms (which aren't, especially the latter, the focus of most strong Wii games), it looks like one of the strongest Wii games to date. But overall it looks like it will only be the fourth strongest platformer on Wii this year. Still excited though.

I'm not a big fan of platformers (probably why I'm not to keen on the wii) but I like the infamous style elements, so it hits a few things I enjoy.

Will probably play this game, but I will wait for a review, because I don't know why, I see a chance that it could be terrible.

The frame-rate looks pretty rough, and visually it really doesn't look that impressive, but maybe the limitations of the Wii are to blame. I'll probably rent it.

GameTrailers: 8.2IGN: 8.0Sounds like a fun, if flawed, game. I think I'll be picking it up by the end of the year.

I don't like Micky Mouse or Disney, so I'm not going to get this game.

Has anyone picked this game up? It looked pretty interesting to me and I was curious to see if any of the Hylians had played and what they thought of it.

Its pretty amazing if you have even a passing intrest in old school disney. Its what I wished the Kingdom hearts series was going to be.

This is sitting at the top of my Christmas list, and I can only hope its poor UK chart debut (11th on Wii, with the likes of Just Dance 2, Michael Jackson and X Factor appearing above it, 38th on all formats) is down to the fact it is on many other people's.
Reviews are mostly saying it's the great, but sometimes flawed experience which deep down we were kind of expecting and we know it. Not many shades of grey in terms of the much-hyped "playstyle matters" mechanic, but that probably won't stop me making at least the three playthroughs - one all thinner, one all paint, one alternating with every move.
