Charles Martinet teases new Mario game

Charles Martinet revealed that he's recording for a new Mario game this week. He also said that it's "not NSMB Wii, and it's not Galaxy 2, but it's going to be crazy fun!" Any thoughts on what it could be? It's obviously not going to be a main platforming title, but there's a lot of other possibilities. I'd love to see a new Mario Golf or Mario Tennis with MotionPlus support, or a new Paper Mario (turn-based, please) or a Luigi's Mansion sequel (as unlikely as that is).

Of course, it could just end up being Mario Party 9, but most Mario spin-offs tend to be pretty good, so I'm looking forward to finding out what it is.

(Yes, he posted this on Twitter, but it seems to be 100% legitimate, so I wouldn't worry.)

I don't think they'd release three huge platformers that close to each other. Also, Nintendo hasn't been releasing as many Mario spin-offs lately, which is why that's what I think it is.

It's a long shot, but it's been a fair old while since the first. They can just get the voice work out the way then sit on it for several more months.

A new Golf game would be my choice of spin-off, though a ninth (or eleventh, counting Advance and DS) Party game is probably more likely.
