Only disappointment is that the site only indicates the console to be DS, not 3DS. Too bad. Potential for red-hot launch title right there.

nothings set in stone, though I see why they would want to keep marketing the ds. It HAS been one of there most successful platforms...

Nothing revealed on Pokemon Sunday this week except for a huge question mark. Coro Coro, on the other hand, had a few screenshots... Serebii.net.

EDIT: Full page.

Looks like there's a slight upgrade on the overworld graphics (could we finally travel at more than just right angles?) but, alas, it seems that the damn static sprites we've seen for almost a decade remain in the battle animations. This continues to disappoint me - and it takes a lot for me to be disappointed by graphics. Maybe it's just teasing and there'll be an upgrade to something we've seen in Golden Sun (nine years old) or Chrono Trigger (15 years old) where at least there's some sort of movement from the 'Mon.

How abuot a game where the pokemon actually TOUCH eachother? Come on nintendo, gamefreak, you've had the same battle graphics for over a decade! And momentarily warping the sprite doesn't really spruce things up...

If they wanted to keep things in the hardware limitations they could do something similiar to Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon's battle system. Two 3D-ish sprites on either side of the battlefield, put in command, and let them hit eachother...

2- Wasting a space on your team for an "HM Bitch"/ Wasting a move space on one of your key fighters for an HM/ HMs in general. Would be nice if instead of HMs they gave us tools. Flashlights, shovels, axes, flippers, that sort of thing. Could be addressed.

All legit complaints except for this and 4, but hisak covered that.

If you really need allll the movespaces you're not good at Pokemon. Seriously, I haven't lost to a gym leader since I was a kid.

It's not that I "need" all the movespaces, I just want them. I don't want them wasted on a crap move like Cut when man has been using axes for millenia. Zelda's got Power Gloves, Power Gauntlets, Power Rings, who needs Strength? Flash? Get a fucking torch.

Point is, all the HMs (except maybe the even more ridiculous use-once-or-twice ones like Whirlpool and Waterfall) could be replaced with key items. The only vaguely useful-in-battle-HM is Surf, and even that could be replaced with a surfboard or, at a push, water wings.

The curly tail thing is a bunny. If it is not then that will be the most God-forsaken Pokemon, next to Muk and Nosepass.

Nosepass.

Pfft. Nosepass is a beauty pageant winner compared to his beady-eyed, crudely mustachioed tin-hat wearing evo.

Grass starter: Tsutaja - grass snake pokemon (But he has legs! Snakes haven't had legs since that whole forbidden fruit thing)

Fire starter, Pokabu - fire pig pokemon (Is a happy little bugger. Hope his later stages are much angrier)

Water starter, Mijumaru - sea otter pokemon (Looks incredibly average to me. Cute, but ho-hum design)

I really like the grass and fire starter designs. The water one is okay, but it looks like it could evolve into some sort of snowman or polar bear, which would be awesome.

I'm expecting a polar bear more. It would work better as a Water/Ice type. And we did already have Abomasnow, but I don't think we've ever had a polar bear.
