Damages is a fantastic TV series that comes on FX every Monday at 10 PM.  There aren't really any "big names", except for Glenn Close, who plays an excellent ruthless litigator who will stop at nothing to win her case.  Right now it's in season 3, but every season is different.  It starts off with something crazy happening, and every episode we get a little piece of what happens and then we finally find out what happens.

Anyway, concerning the episode on now:

And this has been a good season so far.

So I'm enjoying this season a lot more than last season's phoned-in efforts. We're back to the compelling mystery and great supporting cast that season one had. So if anyone is intrigued by this show, I highly encourage you to watch it, but be prepared to be disappointed by season 2.

Sadly, the ratings aren't looking great for a fourth season, but I'm glad the writers returned to form before the show ends.

Have they said yet whether they're bringing it back?

No, but unless some miracle happens it won't be brought back. It was getting beaten in the ratings by Nurse Jackie and United States of Tara. Which are, you know, on Showtime. So...not good.

NO! It's way better. It's about high stakes litigator Patty Hewes (Glenn Close).  Although the third and probably final season just wrapped up, I would HIGHLY recommend it

First of all: not all cop dramas are generic and boring. See: The Shield.

But this is more of a mystery/thriller series, one that happens to have attorneys as its main characters. While later seasons have become a bit too ridiculous to the point where I'm not sure if I'd watch a fourth season (sorry mattie), I completely recommend the first season.

I never thought I'd have to admit this, but I'm not patient enough for a show like Damages.  Heroes, 24, and most crime shows manage to wrap everything up within the hour, but Damages takes an entire season.  Well, in 24 it also takes a while but it's supposed to be real-time, and there's plenty of plot twists, and arcs ending, and new one's appearing.  I didn't get much of that in Damages.  Shows have to move faster these days.  There's similarities with LOST, of course, but I can't say why I liked that a whole lot more.  Probably cause it had so much freaky shit going on, and oh, DOZENS OF CHARACTERS TO REALLY CARE ABOUT.  Haha.

Sorry u guize, you can continue loving your show now.

Everyone who has ever watched The Wire disagrees with you.

Not that Damages comes anywhere near it in quality (there's a bit more wheel-spinning than necessary and a lot less payoff in Damages). But maybe the shorter seasons will help with pacing?
