Thats why they're publishing it for the 3DS. So it's graphics aren't near 64 bit. It'll look better than it did on the 64

This is nice. It's a timeless game, but I'm not going to waste my money on a 3DS.

This makes no sense to me. Why would you not buy a 3DS?

I'm a bit concerned that they might decide to design future 3DS Zelda games with 3D gameplay. As flawed as the DS Zeldas were, I still really like the 2D-style Zelda gameplay, and I don't want it to go away.

Only for FS/FSA, MC (one of my favorites), and Alttp GBA version..... no DS... just no DS...

With respect to 2D Zelda, I don't think we'll see another one for like four-six years.  We're in the midst of this 2D revival and I feel like Zelda will end up getting its shot for it, but only after we've had a number of fully 3D Zelda experiences.

Yeah i mean they remade quite a few Final Fantasy games, and I honestly think Zelda deserves it a bit more.
But can i say something? Key word here : 2D Revival. Have you all noticed this? Remakes.. remakes... remakes... NO ONE. And I mean NO ONE. Is coming up with their own freaking ideas anymore. Freakin sucks... But I guess some 2D games would make  good 3Ds

I'm confused. If you're saying there's too many 2D remakes, I only see two remakes coming up and they're both 3D games.

But I don't get this whole "2D revival" thing. Nintendo only announced two 2D platformers at its conference, one of which (Kirby) has never had a 3D game. The other series (Donkey Kong) has only had one 3D game. So I would hardly call it a movement.

No what I mean is that everyone is remaking classics and old games. Thats what I'm saying. It gets kind of sickening... But sometimes it's fairly impressive.

Well there's plenty of new games coming out that it's nothing to be upset about.

I really hope this isn't the case. I mean, I'd rather have a 3D Zelda than another game like Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks, but I still love my 2D Zeldas.

Okay NOW you're seeing exactly where I'm coming from. I'm just happy and displeased about the constant remakes going on in the gaming world. And like you said, 2D Zelda's may be next in line.

If this doesn't turn out to be a new game I am going to be severely depressed. As sad as it is I would buy a 3DS just for this game.

I'm very excited about OoT for the 3DS.  I mean, it's OoT.  It's going to be mostly the same, but on a handheld.  Different buttom combo's (they'll need to figure stuff out cause the N64 controller had more buttons than the 3DS, so that will be a problem with shield/R-targeting/C-buttons/map features)

I also read about they'll have a workaround for the Stone of Agony, possibly some kind of sparkly sound you hear when you're near a secret cave.

And the graphics will be updated, so it'll be cool to see how everything got rendered.   I don't expect them to include any HUGE differences/add-ons, but yeah, the iron boots as a C-item would be good, and a faster response time for the menu and quest screens would be necessary.  I don't want to have sound effects changed - I still thought it weird to have OoT grunts coming out of ALttP link in the GBA port. So they shouldn't mess with that.

Looks nice. Looks like it has a mix of stylus and D-pad controls, which I'm not so sure about.

I'd call it touchscreen and D-Pad controls. Looks to me like those buttons on the touchscreen are all easy enough to get to with your digits.

SHINY SCREENS ARE SHINY.

Also, what's up with the map/inventory screen setup?

I do hope they won't change too much.

Only menu-related thing that was annoying was the iron boots not being a C-item.

Link looks great though.

Well Iron Boots are going to be a C-item now, if you didn't already know that (I would assume that this goes for Hover Boots as well).

Have we heard at all if the touch screen is fingerprint-friendly?

Wait, wait wait....  OoT is being remade again?  Let me see how many times I've bought this game..  When it came out on 64 I got the gold cartridge... then a friend at school swiped it when they came over ... and I got it again a year later.... (not gold) it was used but still quite pricey.  Then I lent it to my brother in law and he lost it...  I did not get it again on 64 but years later on the Game Cube it came out with Majora's Mask and Zelda 1 and 2 on the same disk... Awesome!  Picked that up and then found about 2 months later that another Game Cube disk had OoT and it was Master Quest!  Hard Mode for Zelda?  Awesome!  I picked that up.. then later on the Wii the game came out on Virtual Console... In an excuse to get rid of the glitches that the disk had, I bought it again.. lets see here.. 60+45+30+30+10...  I spent 175 bucks on OoT over the past 10 years?   No Nintendo, I wont buy the game again...  I'm on to your repackaging game.  Your the video game equivalent of a used car salesmen.  Just slap a fresh coat of paint on it and sell it again.. Well!  I am pleased to say I won't fall for it again!   Ohhh no... I own the game too many times in other....  Stop looking at me that way, no... stop it....

Wow, thats blue...  Well, no amount of blue is going to make me....

Holy crap that looks awesome... Well, no bother..  I refuse to buy this game again.. the 3Ds is going to cost 300 bucks anyway!  I just wont stand for....

Alright, forget it... Is Gamestop taking pre-orders yet?

Nice!

So either the 3DS touch screen is finger-friendly or they have no idea how to use it.
