Yeah the rocket barrel courses can be quite tricky, not a lot of room for error, especially with getting all the puzzle pieces and kong letters. But the challenge factor remains awesome =)

Just beat the final boss. I think I'm going to take a break from this game for a while before tackling post-game content, like I did with Galaxy 2 and NSMB Wii. Very pleased with what Retro did with this game. I can't say that I'd complain if we ever got a sequel.

They need to already be working on it, and include more Kongs, more animal helpers, better music, and oldskool K. Rool and posse.

I don't know if I "need" a sequel. I'd be perfectly happy if Retro switched over to another Nintendo property (or a new IP) and they did their magic there. Then again, a DK sequel would probably be quicker to make and I'd still love it, so I'm happy either way.

Trust me, we need a sequel. They can still do so much with the series. Much more than Mega Man, and there's dozens of those already lol. Wouldn't mind another Galaxy too. If they feel like trying a bit harder for an original story, that would be nice. We just want more of the same. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I want a Donkey Kong Country 2 Returns! They did an awesome job with this game and when you really look at the transition from Metroid to this it's really amazing that they pulled it off. This is easily a modern classic among platformers. I'm not so sure about Galaxy 3 though...I can handle Galaxy 2 being the exact same thing because after the first game I wanted more. But if there's a third Galaxy it needs to be a bit different or else it's going to feel redundant.

I definitely agree. They need to start working on that right now. Make the music a bit better/varied, and add some Kongs and animal partners.
The extra stuff and mode are crazy, and definitely harder than most other unlockables in most games.
SMG3 needs to happen too, but it'll be tricky to not have it get old fast. Well SMG2 never got old for me, so if they just elaborate on that and have some more collectibles in every stage (more than just one comet coin which is usually not hard too find), we'll be fine.

Havn't finished DKCR yet, so can't comment on DKCR2, wouldn't mind seeing a DK64 sequel though...
No way in hell do i want SMG3, all these sequels just make nintendo games stale, they need to do more risky sequels like Metroid Other M, that may or may not succeed but at least give people something different in each game instead of endless conservative sequels that just gets boring and stale.

You want more things like what was considered the biggest disappointment of the year? They did great with SMG2, it was different enough to still be awesome. More so than the first. Nintendo has done well with sequels, making them work and still be fun. But, in all honestly, more Other M? *shudder*

While I don't hold it as high in regard as the Prime series and Super Metroid I really don't get the issues people had with Other M. It wasn't really a bad game...

Yes, i mean that, but only in a certain way, i mean that companies should take a risk by trying new things with games. I personally liked Other M, but it did have certain weaknesses, and your reaction is no worse then my reaction was to Twilight Princess. But Metroid Prime, OoT etc. those games took the same path as Other M did by taking an unprecedented path and trying a new take on an old game, and both are considered classics. My point is that by taking the same sorts of risks that the people who made Other M did the potential for failure is at least the same(possibly increased) but the rewards are much greater too, and at the very least it means that even the bad games have something of their own to offer because they are different from both their predecessors and their followers.

The 3DS down-port has been announced for release in North America and Europe on May 24. It features an optional easy mode, which includes an extra damage heart, balloons to save you from a fall, and a more forgiving mine cart damage system. There are also eight new levels which can be reached after finishing the game. I know some here had difficulty finishing the game, so I'm curious if you're planning to pick this up.
