I agree with all of Rush's points entirely.

They should build mosques nearby all these memorials.

Building a mosque (community centre) near ground zero would be exactly like building a hindu temple near pearl harbour.

For three obvious reasons.

They have freedom of religion and can build where they like
It would help interfaith dialogues in the area.
And much like hinduism had nothing to do with pearl harbour (because hinduism is not the major religion of japan in any way shape or form) this group of muslims building this community centre and the religion they practice have as much similarity to al qaeda as the westboro baptist church has to episcopalians, baptists, catholics or well all other christians in general.

I do love how every time some ultraconservative says "you wouldn't like it IF THIS HAPPENED" and then basically replaces a group with another almost every left winger I know instantly replies with "no that'd be sweet".
When will those retards get that just because they hate muslims and mexicans and gays that it doesn't mean those with the opposite political view must hate some other group like the japanese (who are hindus now) or their usual conservative christians.

There is already a mosque 4 blocks away from ground zero.

It is a community centre for interfaith relationships as well as an area for prayer, it also has a swimming pool and a restaurant.

The man who is in charge of the product was sent on a tour by president bush to help the middle east peace process.

Why is this one any different?

9/11 was in 2001. It is time for everyone to get over it. This is not me being insensitive. This is me knowing that not all muslims are automatically horrible people.

I'm not saying that either. I went to high school with a Muslim and know that overall, they are peaceful people. But at the same time, Muslims attacked us. This is why I'm not for a mosque being at ground zero.

Okay, the building isn't just a mosque. There's also going to be an auditorium, a swimming pool, a restaurant, and a bookstore in it. Also it's two blocks away from Ground Zero.

Also it would be like banning the NRA from Oklahoma because Timothy McVeigh was a member.
