I never directly said causation. Its just a connection between the two and it can just about be assumed the two are related.
Ummm two things being related is implying causation, whether its the only cause is up to debate, and I'd obviously say no, but, you're stating some form of causation.
I mean it's highly likely they are related, but simply getting 2 figures and saying HEY LOOK AT THIS, is wrong, I mean there aren't any other contributing factors to argue your case.
It could be the prevalence of evangelical christianity in those states (actually, if that isn't a factor I will eat a hat).
