Ok, I'm not finding these anywhere so I think I'll start posting them. I'm really excited about this weeks additions!
10-1-07
First is:
Super Mario Bros 2 The Lost Levels NES 600pts
Originally released in Japan as Super Mario 2, this game has previously made only brief cameo appearances in the Western hemisphere (Mario allstars on snes). Mario fans will now appreciate the familiar look and feel of the game while finding that its updated game play creates an entirely new challenge. No longer content just to wear different collored overalls, Mario and Luiji also possess different skill sets (mario stops quicker, while Luigi jumps higher). In addition to the classic enemies already known to fans world wide, there are also poison mushrooms, backwards warp zones and wind gusts. And if thats not enough, expert playrs can go looking for the game's secret worlds. So get ready to put your Mario skills to the test and save the Princess again... Just don't be surprised if she is in another castle..
AWESOME! I loved the snes game, I'm sure this one will be great.. Now I just need some points..
Sin & Punishment N64 1200pts.
Made by Treasure, this is a game that hard core gamers and fans of Japanese imports recognize as one of the finest n64 games to have previously never reached north American shores. Its unique combination of English voice overs with Japaneses subtitles (preserved in this version) has only added to the enthusiasm for its eventual release here. Experience the frenetic pace of a classic shooter, while choosing from a variety of options and a number of different skill levels until you are ready to take on the full blown challenge of turbo hard mode. Not to be outdone by the action, however, the intriguing story line gives the game its soul and draws you even further into the mix. Set in the near future, on an over populated Earth starved for resources, players uncover the intriguing mystery of 2 teenagers and their battle against the Ruffians as they advance through the level after level of non stop action. Take a deep breath , gather your energy and prepare to see why this game is so higly praised.
I've never heard of this game, anyone know anything else about it? Downloaded it? played it before? is it good?
[edit] fixed typo.

I've heard Sin and Punishment is awesome, it never came out in the US so I think I might get it when I get a chance. It's from Treasure, the team that did Gunstar Heroes, and that's one of my favorite games of all time.

I downloaded Mario 2 the lost levels the other day. I am quite happy with the game! Its hard as heck though, which is good. I was board with the original Mario, I still love to play it from time to time but when it can be beaten in 6 - 10 minutes... Kinda gets old. This game lets me explore a new game with the look and feel of the old classic game. Very nostalgic. I like it.
So I'm late posting what came out yesterday. My bad.

Fatal Fury NeoGeo 900pts
Released in 1991 and one of the longest running series in the fighting game genre, this title introduced players to Terry Bogard and Andy Bogard and Joe Higashi. Selcet one of the 3 and visit many locatins as your chosen fighter engages in numerous street fights around the fictional city of South Town. This game also features a 2 player mode that allows for co-op and VS. Pretty neat!
World Heroes NeoGeo 900Pts
A fighting game released in 1992 featuring 8 characters including Hanzo, Janne, and Rasputin, modeled on historical figures from throughout the ages. The set up consists of only 3 buttons, one for punching, kicking and throwing. Adding to this system is the fact that the strenght of your offensice blow depends on how long the button is pressed and held.
Art of Fighting NeoGeo 900Pts
This Fighting game relesed in 92 began the story of Sakazaki family and Robert Garcia, further developed in 2 later sequels. Yuri Sakazaki has been abducted by Mr Big to punish her father, Takuma, and her brother, Ryo, to rescue her, Ryo and Rober must take on nemerous enemies around South Town and face Mr. Karate. This game introduced power gages for super moves, desperation attacks that are only usable when a fighter's health is low and camera zooming that adjusts on the fly. Features voice overs and cut scenes.
Looks like it was NeoGeo fighter Monday.
Nifty, I've played most of these games in some version or another. Pretty good pick up and play games but not sure on that 9 dollar price tag.

If they end up releasing the Metal Slug games I'm gonna laugh. If I bought that collection I'd be pissed. But since I didn't, I'll just laugh.
I hope they release some King of Fighter's games too.

Sin and Punishment is weird. I remember wanting to play it when I saw a review on what was known as "Extended Play" when TechTV was still a network. Hopefully, Treasure will make a WiiWare game, that'd be awesome.

Sin and Punishment kinda looks like Contra...just to look at though, still hadn't played it. Plan to soon though.
Now fer an update!
10-22-7
Lunar Pool NES 500 pts
Lunar Pool, simply put, is a fun game. It contains 60 pool tables, each one shaped differently. The point is to put all the balls in a pocket (sometimes there's only one) without sinking yours. You lose a life when you sink your ball, or when you hit your ball three times without sinking another one. The game uses a power meter, and the arrows move a target around your ball. Setting up shots is very easy. The best part of the game, however, is the boards. Each one is different, and most are bizarre. There are X shaped boards, diamond shaped, ones with many indents and sharp edges, smooth ones, ones with walls set up in the middle of the board, and more. Each hole presents a new challenge and they're all different. Two players can play each other, or one player can play by themselves or with the computer.
Ninja JaJaMaru-kun NES 600 pts Take on the role of a ninja called JaJaMaru and rescue the captured Princess Sakura from the evil Namazu Dayuu in this action-packed game, never before released outside of Japan. JaJaMaru must use his throwing stars to defeat the monsters lurking in each of Dayuu’s many hideouts. JaJaMaru has to be careful though, as each monster has its own unique weapon and method of attacking. The only way for him to advance is to break the floor bricks above him and move up and down between the levels of each round, defeating monsters as he goes. To help him, broken bricks sometimes reveal items that JaJaMaru can use to his advantage, possibly leading to him getting the ultimate power-up—a ride on Gamapakun, the giant frog! Take all this, throw in some bonus stages, and you’ve got a game with a style all its own!
Golden Axe III Sega 800 pts
The once-peaceful kingdom so familiar to fans of the original Golden Axe is under threat once again. The Prince of Darkness has stolen the invaluable Golden Axe, taken over the kingdom, and rendered all its warriors harmless thanks to an evil curse. One warrior, however, breaks free from the curse and must defeat the prince and regain the Golden Axe to save the kingdom. In this one- or two-player action game, play as a giant, a panther, or a sword-wielding human and fight your way to victory once again!

10-29-7 Castlevania IINES 500pts Real simple, and yet, very original. This game continues but some time after the first game where Simon defeated Dracula. However, though Simon was victorious, Dracula placed a curse on Transylvania where evil things occur at night like villagers turning to zombies. Simon, being a Belmont, has no choice but to fulfill his obligations as a Vampire Hunter and restore peace once again. How is this to be done? This is what I found most amusing: you have to gather the remains of Dracula and revive him to kill him AGAIN.LOOOVE This game, its all kinds of awesome! Magician LordNEOGEO 900pts. Before World Heroes, Ninja Masters, Twinkle Star Sprites or even a now more recognizable name change to ADK, premier third party developer for the Neo Geo, Alpha Denshi, crafted Magician Lord. The game was heralded by critics as one of the best arcade action games of the 1980s Magician Lord's plot line is typical arcade gaming. Az Atorse, the game's head antagonist, somehow obtains eight sacred books that will somehow allow him to gain control of the world unless he is stopped by a hero brave enough to conquer him. Introducing Elta, the game's playable “magician lord” whose mission (given by some nameless old man) is to defeat the bad guys, seal the eight sacred books and restore order from the impending chaos. After every level, Az Atorse will speak in some hysterically poor written dialogue, there is no serious plot progression though, there's a beginning introduction and an ending sequence; while the between level dialogue functions as a break from the intense action and an unintentionally funny taunting mechanism to motivate playing. Although Magician Lord's plot is paper thin, it's nice that the developers included one to offer extra incentive for defeating the game.Kinda nifty, never played it though.. Samurai-GhostTurbo Grafx 16 600pts. You're the spirit of a samurai out for vengeance against the minions of the underworld. You've got a creepy old lady with an obnoxious laugh that makes Mr. X's in between level laughing on Kung Fu sound almost whimsical and musical by comparison telling you what your mission is, and a group of disjointed hack 'n slash levels for it to play out in. Couldn't find a good review of this game..

OMG AWESOME VC DAY!! W00T! *ahem* So lets run though this. Alien SoldierSega Genesis 900pts IMPORT This game was not previosly released on the Genesis in the Western Hemisphere. There may be nonessential material in the game that is unfamiliar to consumers, including foreign language audio and text.
As Epsilon Eagle, you are an alien soldier who has been genetically engineered to produce maximum intelligence and strength. You were once a member of the criminal organization Scarlet, but when you decided to break from the group, you were forced into a showdown with Scarlets new leader Xi-Tiger, who kills a hostage in his attempt to destroy you. Now it's up to you to take revenge against the bad guys in this side scrolling action game! Choose from 6 different weapons and battle the bosses of Scarlet until you reach the final confrontation with the ultimate secret weapon!
Well kinda nifty! I'm always excited about an import game I never played before! Not sure about that 9 dollar price tag though... Power GolfTurbo Grafx 16 600 pts Its a golf game for turbo grafx 16....its 3 player....and you can Hold Down and press I when selecting a golfer to make him left handed...nothing else really to note...Skips on for the main game here... Now for..... Super Mario Bros 3OMG! Remember when no one had ever heard of Tanooki Suit or knew that Bowser had a clan of Koopalings? (and also gave away Bowsers middle name...heheeh) The game that made these things common knowledge is also considered by many to be one of the best ever made. Bowser and the Koopalings are causing chaos yet again, but this time they're going beyond the Mushroom Kingdom into the seven worlds that neighbor it. Now Mario and Luigi must battle new enemies, returing favorites and a new Koopaling in each unique and distinctive world on their way to ultimately taking on Bowser himself. Lucky for the brothers, they have more powerups available than ever before. Fly above the action using the super leaf, swim faster by donning the Frog Suit or defeat enemies using the Hammer Bros. Suit (HBS FTW) Use the brand-new over world map to take the chance to play a minigame (these rawked! Allstars took out some of the mini games here..grr...) in hopes of gaining extra lives or to find a Toad's house where you can pick up additional items. All this (and more) combines into one of gaming's most well known and beloved titles.... are you rado to experience gaming bliss? I donno about you..but a wii points card will be bought tomorrow just for this game....I can't WAIT to play it on the vc. My nes flat out sucks and resets at random...no matter how many times I clean it. (got it for Christmas in 85...0_o) Mario Allstars took out some of the mini games and I really didn't care too much for the updated graphics. I prefer old school over anything.. So yea, I agree with Rew, Mario Allstars is now obsolete! Well it is in my book. -Mario3rancher

It's not that big a deal because Super Mario Bros. 3 has come out for the NES, SNES, and the GBA.
Also, I preferred Bomberman Hero, Loki :-p

Axelay SNES 800 pts Axelay is one of Konami's attempts to break out of its Gradius mold(y), and with some limited success. It has some nice concepts, but didn't implement them to their fullest. Backgrounds weren't quite believable back then, but Axelay tried to give you the sensation that you were actually flying through air/space. In the air levels (1, 3, and 5) this was mainly achieved with limited layering effects combined with Mode 7 vertical scrolling. As shots and ships fly toward the top of the screen, they seemed to be moving away slower. It gave the game a sense of depth, that was strangely not befitting a space shooter. The horizontal levels (2, 4, and 6) did less in terms of depth are more of focusing on what was in front of you. Yes, you can see the buildings on the ground in level 2, but you'll tend to be more focused on keeping the enemy from blasting you. The same goes for level 4; you can marvel at the detail of the cave (not a lot), but be aware that it's as hazardous as every other part of the level.
Blues Journey NeoGeo 900 pts Blue's Journey is one of the most original NEO-GEO games, although it is easy to finish, there are a lot of secret rooms, special missions, and other different things that you won't find in you first game.
I could find NOTHING on this game...
Volleyball NES 500 pts The game play for this game is so simple yet so addictive and fun that … you know, keeps me yawning for me because I love its simple ness. In the menu, you get to select one or two player. Select a team that comprise of males or females. Not only that, but you can get to choose the country you want to play against or for. Now this means the game developers put some thought into this because you can play as your favorite volley ball team instead of just playing with human beings in plain clothes … As the ball comes and lands on your part of the square, you have the ability to control the team mates and they come and they can either go and bump the ball to the other side or they have the option of bumping the ball in the air and let another team mate bump the ball … to the other partition. Interesting? Yes it is! Even if its not rocket science. You can also serve the ball in the game which is fun because you have to throw it into the air and then spike it.
