Whilst i think a big flaw of zelda is the lack of replayability i do not think allowing people to customize it would be the right way to go about solving that... that sort of mechanic would be better put towards a MMO...

All the previous ideas have been great, upping the difficulty, more dungeons, bigger overworld, a new mount(fireballs do indeed sound enjoyable ), new items, etc. All this would be great. However, I have been thinking, what if co-op was introduced? I'm not talking split screen garbage, but the style of co-op that Fable II and Resident Evil 5 will be having. Adding a new shady character that Link befriends along the way would be very interesting and how fun would it be to tackle dungeons and bosses with a buddy? It would also give Nintendo a chance to up the AI in Zelda(seeing as how some players won't play co-op, they will need a good AI) I think it would be a wondereful addition to Zelda provided they do it right. Thoughts?

Co-op would be fun. but then it would ruin the reason i play Zelda . I have no friends that will come and play games with me. The AI would be kinda wierd to play with.... Seeing as you couldn't tell it what to do with out a whole new command system.

The only kind of co-op I'd be happy with would be similar to what they did in Majora's Mask, where you controlled Link and Kafei while doing the mask sidequest. I wouldn't want to need a second player to control the other character, I'd rather control them both myself.

Im not sure about controling two charecters yourself. harry potter did it and ive never liked switching characters to solve a puzzle.

A co-op Zelda wouldn't be good either, unless the whole thing was completely about co-op play. Like Four Swords. That was ok. A two player Zelda would be a little weird, it would kinda ruin the solo feeling you get when you play it.
Almost forgot, I really want manual shielding back. Make it more like OoT style fighting, but with all the TP combos and more.
... Also, I don't really want this in a Zelda game, but it'd be fun to fight online with Link. Using all those weapons would be really fun.

His group has calculated that there are about 10 billion acres on the moon, not counting crater slopes. Given that there are about 6.7 billion people on Earth, it aligns nicely with the idea of "I want my acre," he said. Im not sure about controling two charecters yourself. harry potter did it It was also a licensed game. Games with deadlines aren't usually the best examples of anything. It was great in MM and good in TWW, but I'd only want to see it if they did something completely new with it. As far as online co-op goes, I can see it working really well, but I'd rather they wait until they have a less lag-inclined and more powerful system to work with.

But as mentioned before the characters would have to be two different people not two links. Which is duh common sense.

Now heres a new idea..
MMO type gameplay in the overworld.... Nobody is Link....Bah that just turns into a spoof of almost every other MMORPG out there.
Online Co-Op would be the best thing to do. And if we're lucky there would be online battle

MMO Zelda doesn't really sound like a good idea. It's not really enough of an RPG for it to work. The only non-adventure Zelda I can see being good is a fighter. There's more than enough enemies.
I wouldn't mind seeing a 3D PH-esque online battle mode.

Yes we need harder difficulty, especially in the boss battles Arrow ideas are good but don't go over the top, a fire tornado and stuff just would be way to powerful I really want the going back and forth in time back in zelda, that's why oot is my fave

Back to the dual character gameplay. Wouldn't it be interesting if you had to race someone to complete temples and try to save hyrule before the other.

A bit of competition would be interesting...
What if there were an actual seperate co-op story.

A seperate storyline for a cooperative mode would work better then one mode for both as it would give the creators room to make new puzzles and stuff but i still don't think Zelda is in anyway a multiple game, in fact i would view Zelda as the polar opposite, it is the quintessential single player game and so i think development should be aimed towards extra sidequests and gameplay mechanics rather then online play or custimization...

You know what i think there should be a party with you like off final fantasy etc. Like people who you recruit and help you out, without waiting to attack Just a suggestion. Also how about a guy about same age as link who goes seperate ways from him for a few years then turns out to be ganondorf's apprentice! That would work better with going back and forth in time!
