A Dash of pokemon styled rivarly would be sweet. You don't know when theyll appear, how good their skill has improved, and what they've been through. Its perfect for character development, especially if that rival serves an essential ending role in the plot.

I guess I could see the rival thing working, although "Ganondorf's apprentice" doesn't sound like such a good idea. We had something like that with King Bulblin in TP, but he didn't even speak until the final battle. Still, there was some nice character development there and it wouldn't be a bad idea for them to try out.
And no more time travel, thanks (at least, no more two-way time travel). Any game that uses it will be viewed as (and will probably end up being) a clone of either OoT or OoA. I'd rather they focus on new ideas that can improve the series.

I see character development as one of the most important aspects of the game. it give you a feeling of being inside the story. Like MM.

MM didn't have character development; it had character depth. There's a huge difference. Sure, you see different sides of characters in the game, but there's not really much that changes from the beginning of their storyline to the conclusion of it. OoT had some good character development, but the problem was that it all happened at the seven-year jump, leaving little room for more later in the game.
If they want to look at something to base further characters off of, I think they should go back to the approach that they took with some characters in TWW, particularly Komali. If they even have one character that drastically changes throughout the course of the next game, I'll be happy.
I wouldn't mind seeing some negative character development either.

Hmm maybe they could have a game AFTER the events of LA, where ganon dies (i think) Now the triforce of power doesn't belong to ganon it could go to someone else. Again just a suggestion

i was thinking of the next zelda to be a hero of time game. link returns from termina and finds out that after the failed exacution of ganondorf, his followers are trying to break the seal by stealing the triforce. the leader of ganons minions is umbrak, a psykopathic demigod that weilds control over light. he was created by the goddesses as sence ganon was pure evil and in order for balance to occur, they would have to create a ganon of pure light, this "light ganon" is insane and think is intentions are good. in order to stop him, link must find 3 light keys to enter the spirit temple, the hideout of umbrak. but the oly way to defeat umbrak is to use the lights bane, a sword crafted by din herself.link then must goe through 3 more dungeons to create the complete lights bane and stop the unsealing of ganon once and for all. ganon obsorbes umbrak through the mirror of twilight to corrupt his light power into twilight. than peace is restored until zant breaks the seal in TP.
an intresting gameplay mechanic i figured out is that the first time you fight umbrak in the spirit temple, you'l use the mirror shield to reflect his light beams back at him as dark beams.

I would like to see Link save alternate dimensions of Hyrule due to somebody more power-full then Ganon. Everything from prehistoric to futuristic where Link would have to be hero and save many Hyrules of all shapes and sizes before coming home. Hero of Worlds where Link will wonder if he ever comes home. It will have much replay value more then MM and make MM seem like the first game. Note on the Triforce. The Triforce isn't designed to only have three pieces because in the original game it only had 2 YET IT WAS STILL THE TRIFORCE. That means it has to do with the triangular shape of them. I am sure the original intention was probably to expand upon the Triforce idea before Zelda got turned into a cash-crop to please junior and get money from Dad and Mom. Then the fan-boys became ignorant and arrogant to the Triforce when OOT came out thinking only 3 pieces could be there thus forever sealing Nintendo's fate of greed. And I am sticking to that. (crosses shoulders) hump.

What kind of game do you want it to be, really? I'd say:
-Zelda: Twilight princess graphic style, improved where possible. A really beautiful game with a lot of eye-candy. Realistic hyrule like never before.
And blah blah blah... the rest that the author of this topic said (Auroraominae)
I swear it. You have just jotted down everything I want in a quality new Zelda game! But now for some things in MY perspective... - A better and more 'loved relationship between Link and Zelda
- A BUNCH of mini games (shooting, swiming, running, etc.) that you can get to in the Castle Town or in another place
- More transformation to other species. Like in MM
- Make Dark Link a main character
- Making a multi-player mode with two players that work together to complete dungeons or can complete different dungeons simultaneously. Also, the player file will be able to accessed by both Player 1 and 2 to do quests on their own if the other Player isn't available.
- More advanced living. (Not futuristic our like the present, still the same. Just with modifications.) Like bigger towns, more secret places undergound (not just like little grottos... side-quests like stuff), more accessible places like a hotel, more that like 2 stores for stuff, and stuff like more weather modifications. You could set the years date in real life and it would be like that in the game. So you could only do certain side quests at certain points on the year, and a day/night/evening/morning mod that shows you at what time in the day you are playing in real life and it will be that time in the game. And obviously, on some days and nights it would be cloudy, rainy, thundery, clear, or even Tornado-y!
- Make the bosses fightable at any time after you have beaten it once.
- Have a point in the game where Link makes out with Zelda...
awesome! - MAKE A FRIKKIN SEQUEL TO MM!!!!!!!!! Sorry.... its my favorite....
- Have a WICKED beautifully designed scenery
- More/cooler weapon mods and gets (fire, ice, light, shadow, earth, bomb arrows) (Zora Armor, Normal Clothes,
Birthday Suit, Magic Armor takes LESS ruppees, etc. - Have a better design for the Hylian monetary units. (7.50 ruppes. That means half ruppees!! Yay)
- And last but not least, a Cinema gallery having all of the cinema from the game availible to watch in you Wii's memory!
...oooooooh. Uh-Oh. ...Um... I hope thats not too much to ask...

"MAKE A FRIKKIN SEQUEL TO MM!!!!!!!!! Sorry.... its my favorite...." YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Sombody agrees with me on this forum! "Making a multi-player mode with two players that work together to complete dungeons or can complete different dungeons simultaneously. Also, the player file will be able to accessed by both Player 1 and 2 to do quests on their own if the other Player isn't available." My game that spans alternate Hyrule's would have that easy and MORE, Duh Nintendo! Like I said they make a gimmick device and throw it away after a few years not useing it as full as they could. "Have a WICKED beautifully designed scenery" TP had too much brown and not enough foliage in it: My favorite place was Faron Woods in the game. Let's have more variety shall we? Variety doesn't hurt you know. Here I corrected this for you: More/cooler weapon mods and gets (fire, ice, light, shadow, earth, bomb arrows) (Zora Armor, Normal Clothes,Birthday Suit, Magic Armor takes LESS ruppees, etc. I want the birthday suit if you can program the birth-date your self. Mine is April 21st so I would punch in A-P-R-I-L 21st and it would unlock on THAT day unless I manually adjusted the clock somehow. I will have to wait half a year but it will be fun.

To cut down on the lenght of the post here is part 2 as quoted by Aurora with my commentary: 5 4 3 2 1 BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! "ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND ACTION!" "More advanced living. (Not futuristic our like the present, still the same. Just with modifications.) Like bigger towns, more secret places undergound (not just like little grottos... side-quests like stuff), more accessible places like a hotel, more that like 2 stores for stuff, and stuff like more weather modifications. And obviously, on some days and nights it would be cloudy, rainy, thundery, clear, or even Tornado-y!" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SteampunkI am for that but that's called Steampunk Fantasy set in a world like the 1900s where steam and mechanical things were popular but magic and their races will still be active: Cars will be used but not very much so if you want one you have to pay a lot for it and they can't go everywhere,Cars wouldn't even go beyond 25mph but your horse wouldn't like the city anyways so there. Electricity will be used but not in rural villages. "And last but not least, a Cinema gallery having all of the cinema from the game availible to watch in you Wii's memory! YES! but your idea is not new even though Nintendo NEEDS TO USE IT BADLY! Banjo Tooie had that where you type in a cheat code, Highlight text to see cheat code. It unlocks all cinema features in BT and you can access them from the choose a file screen.

First of all: This thread is not 'fanboy whinning' as you put it and there is nothing wrong with topic. This is merly a wish tread and you are putting EVERYONE down in this thread and somebody will not be nice if you push people too far. if you dont' like it there is a button called 'back' on your broswer, No one is forcing you to read thread. Please quit whining yourself. Your behavior is very much trollish and is asking for much trouble.
I know we may never see all wish features 4 Zelda game and I don't expect to see ANY being done but I want at least ONE of the wishes granted, Bye bye.
PS: I am worried about the lack of Zelda news who else?

I'm not accusing anyone in this thread of fanboy whining. Its a discussion about what people want to see in a new Zelda game, and thats fine, no harm in that.
What I was referring to is all the complaining that will eventually come about after the next game and most people will probably turn their backs on it. I wasn't whining at all and didn't accuse anyone here of anything so theres no need to throw any accusations my way either.
Because lets face it, no matter what they do in the next Zelda game someone's gonna say "why didn't they do this? why didn't they do that? they don't know what they're doing! they should quit making games!" and so on and so on...
I'm just telling the future, just wait and see...

I don't at all disagree with you about that. You're quite right. But your post would be more appropriate, I think, in a different thread than this one. There have been numerous ones complaining about how disappointing this or that Zelda game was, for example. This forum has its share of whining threads, yes. This particular thread is not one of those. We're just trying to have fun being real big nerds coming up with ideas we think are cool for a new Zelda game. Am I wrong, anyone?

My post was a joke...no one realized that? Really?
Anyway, I'll put in my two cents, but its gonna be more of what I don't want in it, and I think its a simple enough request.
No more sidekicks. For the love Pete, no more of them please. No talking boats, no annoying little fairies with problems with repeating themselves, and most importantly, no whispery imps with their gibberish.

damn straight, its a stupid cop out for not having a main character of substance and it makes the game ridiculously easy...
